    I have several Roku units and have never had an issue, however, I was unable to get the premiere+ to work properly. Customer support from Roku was non-existent so after a few weeks I returned the item

    I heard a lot about this thing and bit the bullet. Great little machine but found that anything you really want on this thing you have to pay for and can access with a new DVD player or TV anyway.

    I have 5 Rokus in my house, this is the 1st one to give me issues. It restarts itself about once a week, the headphone jack has static and its not the headphones. Probably the last one I'll ever buy.

    The problem I had was that Hulu would go to a super sized screen so only a part of the program was able to be seen. Tried different screen adjustments to no avail. Other than Hulu it worked fine.

    Easy to set up and great device but that is when it worked I went through 2 of these devices and after that I chose to go with a amazon fire stick

    Great for HBO GO but not for Jriver

    I primarily bought this because my LG OLED doesn't have HBO go, but the Roku does. I little disappointed that Jriver doesn't see the Roku to push media to it like my old WDTV Live box did.

    I was trying to find a way to connect to live tv broadcasts other than cable. I was unaware that recorded live programs are advertised as Live tv. Just didnt suit my dad's needs.

    From day one I have had nothing but problems with "lost connection" even though I had it plugged in to the router. The Roku web site is worthless also when trying to get help.

    Doesn't work well with my Harmony remote

    I love everything about the Roku Premier+ EXCEPT that it doesn't work well with my Harmony remote. I'm going to try using it with a harmony hub. Hopefully that will do the trick.

    This player has a lot of glitches. The Netflix app flashes red when it changes resolution. The YouTube app doesn’t respond very well same with the Amazon streaming app.

    I think ROKU should address some of the issues concerning the 4K streaming capabilities. I and numerous others have found that periodically need to reset device to allow 4k

    Bought one for another room. Thought it would be faster than Roku 2. About the same. Not on a 4K TV so I can't comment on that. Beats paying $10 to rent a cable box.

    This product died in just over a month. Best Buy wouldn't exchange of course since it was past 30 days. I had to call Roku customer service...just brutal. After 45 min of the rep asking if had unplugged the Roku over and over again they finally agreed to resend one. The Sony PlayStation vue app is terrible compared to the amazon fire. On a positive note the user interface is nice and feels ad free. Going forward I will be adding amazon fire tvs to my other tvs.

    It is great how it allows your to privately listen, has very minimal glitch.However, casting something from your phone to TV is harder than Google version.

    Part of the experience is more in the apps but navigation is cumbersome. No issues with video quality but Apple TV feels sleeker and more intuitive.

    Remote distance Works great even behind a TV set. Why can't all remotes work this well. I do have issues outputting 4K hdr but to my LG b6 tv.

    Flawed and Roku will not acknowledge

    Audio options are flawed on some apps. The audio/video is out of sync 2+ seconds (audio is ahead of the video). These are two apps that gave me problems - HULU & Amazon Video, but others online have indicated that Netflix does as well. There is a workaround where you dumb down audio settings to the bare minimum, but that defeats the purpose of having a nice sound system. I want the best audio possible. There are many people having this problem, and it's not isolated to just this model. I contacted Roku Support who had me jump thru hoops, trying out different settings, manually updating the unit which is already up to date, unlinking my Roku account, unplugging the unit and my TV, resetting my wifi, etc. After being on a chat for over 1hr, they said they will accept the swapping out of my "defective" unit. This would be OK with me if my unit was defective, but all units are defective! Even though the unit is still under warranty, they expect me to pay to ship it to back to them. This is ridiculous, especially since I would receive back another flawed unit. This audio issue could easily be corrected if they were to update the firmware. Terrible, non-existent customer service from a company I have heard so much good about.

    I purchased this because I had a shiny new 4K TV and wanted to be able to stream 4K material. Setup was easy. I was happy with the way it worked. Then Roku updated the firmware and my Netflix became too dark to watch. All other sources were OK. "Technical Support" had no answer for this (try another input, try another HDMI cable, try another TV?), so back it went.
