I SAVED $80 THIS YEAR AND $120 FOR EVERY YEAR THAT i DON'T HAVE TO PAY COMCAST BOX RENTAL FEES. THE ROKU IS VERY EASY TO SET UP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC THAT WAS FAST, COURTEOUS, AND ANSWERED MY STATION SETTING QUESTIONS RIGHT THE 1ST TIME I CALLED. I SHOULD HAVE PURCHASED THIS A LONG TIME AGO. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE ROKU.

Roku is great. I love all the channels available. Even though I only use 3 I still appreciate the options. The remote is simple and the interface is easy to use. Took a less than 5 minutes to figure it out. Adding subscriptions is easy and it links everything to your roku account so you're only billed once for everything. Great buy.

I have a Roku TV but I wanted to stream on an older TV so I bought this device. Works great and easy to set up. Only negative is that I had to create a separate account than my Roku TV. If I activate on the same account, ALL devices will get the same apps as your stick. Not good when the Roku TV is for the kids and the stick is for my wife and I to stream other things such as HBO which I don't want the kids to have.

Pretty good experience with the Roku Streaming Stick. It is pretty fast compared to typical smart TVs (though newer TVs may give it a run for the money). Has a very good variety of streaming apps. Only issue is that after being on for multiple days, or sometimes weeks, the video will cut in and out until it is unplugged and plugged back up again. Would be useful to have a power button or reset button on the remote

I got this to use in an extra bedroom. All I expected was that it would work. Well, as it turns out it is much better than the Roku we use in our family room: it's speedy and since it plugs into an HDMI port on the back of the TV, there's no additional box lying around to look at. For power, I have it plugged into a USB port on the back of the television. My older Roku player (but seriously, not that old) has a tendency to need to be rebooted almost every time I use Youtube or Hulu or Roku Media Player. The Roku Streaming Stick does not have this issue at all. Cursoring through menus is zippy and the apps start quickly. I'm honestly thinking about replacing the family room player with one of these little babies. You will not be disappointed.

This is one of the best streaming products that will stream live shows, news, movies, and old classics in 720p, 1080p HD quality 3d surround sound and streams some of the paid subscription channels like Netflix, Sling. Highly recommended product in case you want to switch from cable or Dishnetwork to meet your budget.

Love how there are no extra boxes sitting around...just connected it to my HDMI port and the avail USB port for power and was good to go, basically just part of the TV now. Also has a traditional power supply should you need it. Remote is responsive and the unit is fast.

Easy to use and works well. Bought to replace an old one that started having problems.

Easy to setup for my mom. Plus didn't need an HDMI cable so that makes it even more simple. Will now buy one for the spare bedroom. If you want a higher quality picture, go with at least the Roku 3. It's exceptionally different if you're using it as a primary source of movies/tv.

Very fast performance switching between apps, very responsive, great selection of supported apps, such as sling tv, Showtime, cable channel apps. Bonus free smart phone app for remote-free control anytime.

My biggest issue is that you either need to subscribe to or have a subscription to various providers for content. Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, etc. all require a stand alone subscription. HBO, Showtime, and other premium cable channels require either a subscription through your cable provider or a stand alone subscription. Many of the TV Now cable channels also require a subscription through your cable provider. Roku also does not currently carry all of the TV Now channels, channels that can be downloaded for free from Google Play store. This means content is limited and cutting the cable cord could be problematic. Don't get me wrong there are some decent channels depending on what you are into but I find most to be mediocre at best. As far as the player goes; it does work well at streaming, the remote is handy, and it offers a few other options but I find I am not using it as much as I had hoped.

You cannot go wrong you cannot go wrong with this item! It's so easy to install and the fact that you can add additional apps or remove those that you're not using is definitely a bonus! I have Spectrum cable service and I no longer have the cable hooked up I just live stream it from the spectrum app

I have 2 of those sticks. They are very easy to setup and function very fast. I love the fact that the remote does not have to be pointed to the Roku to work. Best Streaming player for this price.

I did a lot of research before choosing this streaming stick. It was rated one of the fastest and best UI when compared to others such as chrome cast and Apple TV. The UI and speed were important and I didn't want my content locked down to one ecosystem even though I have Apple products. The price was also great since it was only slightly more than Google and less than other options. My one knock against Roku in general is the easy setup required you to enter card info for potential purchases or if you opt for any of the offered free trials. I reluctantly entered the info and got around being charged by not choosing any of the trials. Other than the 1 knock I'm stoked I finally picked one up.

This is my 3rd Roku device. I love them. I survived over a year without cable by just attaching Rokus to my TVs. My first two Rokus were the little boxes & they have been great. When this updated stick was released, I grabbed one to replace one of my older boxes. It was a great upgrade. It moves faster than my older box. I don't have to worry about where to set the little box because the stick just plugs right into the back of the TV. Roku always seems to be the first to have all the new channels and all the new features. I've never had a device break or have any sort of malfunction (and I use them A LOT). So I will always be a loyal Roku user. This will definitely be my last Roku purchase.

This year's update is all about the remote. The new remote allows you to control your TV's volume control and powers the TV on/off. The remote finds your TV by itself, so you don't have to struggle with putting in codes. My wish list for next year would be a light up remote to operate in the dark.

Got this for my recently retired dad. He was skeptical at first but found that it's really easy to use. I downloaded some apps for him and showed him how to change the input on the TV and he does the rest. It's nice that you don't have to have the device in site or point the remote at it to work.

I am new to this streaming thing and Roku makes it so easy and I love that all of my streaming networks are on one screen and easy to switch from one to another. I also like Roku's channel has some great shows. Yes occasionally the remote looses connectivity having the app on my phone helps.

I purchased the Roku specifically to be able to view the Spectrum (Charter) Streaming App on my TV and eliminate the cable box. I am aware there are thousands of other apps on the stick which I have not tried yet (as well as the Spectrum App), but it works with the Spectrum App BEAUTIFULLY.
