We bought this one after owning a Google Chrome cast. We liked the idea of having a remote and for the most part works well. (There's speech option could be better) After reading some reviews and gaming what I wanted to use the roku for we made the decision to go with the Amazon fire TV Stick

I have the original stick as well as two regular set top Roku's the current generation stick has improved performance dramatically. Fits right in the back of the TV, setup your wireless and your ready to log into your services.

I love the Roku. I have 4 of them and they have always been amazing. They're quick and have a great app selection. I do wish you could rearrange or reprogram the 4 quick buttons in the front, but other than that it's awesome.

I read about all of the products like this one (Amazon Stick, Apple TV, etc). This item is the fastest and cheapest of them all. HD quality! I am an Apple household, but the cost for the Apple TV would not justify the extra $100.

Bought this item in an attempt to reduce cable bill (cut the cord). Plus, my daughters recommend a switch to try something different other than cable/satellite. The family has been happy with the product so far. We have added Netflix to the programming, and attennas for regular TV programs.

Easy to set up and use. Many free channels. Watch for channels that are only free with a trial. I did have to re-pair two of the devices remotes after initial set up. It's easily done in the settings menu. Just frustrating getting it to acknowledge the remote long enough to re-pair it.

Needed to purchase something to stream Netflix as our tv is not a smart tv. This item was recommended by the service tech at Best Buy and was on sale. Streams as expected and easy enough for a non techie to use.

Have lcd tv but not smart tv but it is now love my roku

I was able to update my older (i.e. not smart) T.V. with the Roku. I can now stream Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc. and I don't need to connect another device such as a bluray player to my T.V. which is ideal for a minimalistic look.

This is the best option for a plex client unless you are getting a new tv and then get a TCL Roku TV. Or if you have an IR Harmony universal remote because it doesn't do IR. Worked great in hotels as well on our trip.

The young tech saavy sales guys at Best Buy recommended this over chromecast for me. Better suited to my older equipment and simpler to use. Very happy with the product.

Got my roku stick on a Black Friday sale and I love it

Streams so much I love it. Returned a cable box and watch through this now. So many programs it's amazing. Plus you can take it with you. Only wish it would handle Kodi app but no luck there. Still very happy with it.

Great for streaming Netflix or other streaming services, every so often it gets the image stuck but the audio keeps playing, a simple pause and play fixes it. Works well for streaming off of a nas but has a limited file type that it will read, so make sure all your movies are formatted correctly.

The Roku stick is a really awesome product. It feels so great to cut the cord, and the nicest part is you can move this device with you to different tv's in your home or even take it with you on an out of town trip!

I wasn't sure if I liked the Roku stick as much as my Fire Stick however as I got familiar with the many different apps I must say I'm impressed. There are so many good choices to choose from. I'm so glad I purchased it.

Nice product could be a little more user friendly, not having to go on e mail to view channels

Works well for a bedroom tv, I would buy a higher speed Roku player for the main tv (and did).
