This is one of the most portable versions of Roku, I'm really surprised about how fast it is and all the capabilities of this streaming device. All I need is my internet connection and a good TV... that's all! This device is compatible with apps like Netflix, HBO Go, Youtube and so on.

My father is not very well wth technology but he was able to set this up and use it within 30 min.

Works great on my bedroom flatscreen. Doesn't take up any room since it plugs directly into the TVs hdmi port. It does however require being plugged into a power source (the wall) however you can also plug it into your tvs USB port (recommend). I've been using it for a month with no issues.

I have used a few versions of roku for years now. It's always worked well and picks up my cruddy internet well. I recently gave in to a fire stick and moved the roku to a different room. Fire stick doesn't pick up wifi very well and cuts out constantly. I will be putting the roku back and finding a tv for the fire stick that is as close to the router as possible. Needless to say, roku has my vote, I'm not impressed with Firestick.

Te streaming stick has taken the place of two of our cable connection boxes. I like that it is portable and can be moved from one TV to another.

I bought this to replace that last Roku HDMI stick I was using. It was promised to be the same but faster which was fine with me. After using it now for a few weeks I can confirm it does execute all commands faster rather the previous model. Other than a slightly smaller physical size and some software tweaks everything was very familiar to the 3500 model from a couple of years ago.

This is my first Roku. I have used an Apple TV, and my Samsung Blu Ray player for media centers before, but this Roku player is the best total package. I like the user interface, and it's so fast and smooth. I could not believe how many apps you can install. I use this as much as my satellite tv now.

I upgraded from a PS3 running apps for TV shows including cable(Playstation Vue subscription) to the Roku. 100% better performance. Headphone option through app is awesome The functions from phone app work perfectly. Everything is lightning fast. No lag on streaming anymore. Get it!

Received my product just as advertised and have been pleased with this purchase. I received it on time and had a good price on my Roku device.

Great for secondary TV's. Performs well. May need to order the wifi extender for free from Roku.

Coming from a Chromecast (1st gen) and a Nexus Player, the Roku stick is pretty great. It's as small and simple as the Chromecast but has a remote and 1000s of content channels. For $40 it was a total steal. It doesn't have 4K support or a microSD slot, but you really get way more than you pay for.

This was a great purchase. All my favorite streaming channels and apps. If needed, I can easily move it from room to room or take it with me to stream wherever I have a television and internet access. Can hook up channels on my cable subscription and others such as Netflix, Fandango, Vudu.

Great purchase. Very easy to set up. I can watch local news and a lot of free channels on Roku.

Roku stick is so easy. Just plug it in and go to that input. Follow the prompts to set up the account and you're on your way to great media access. We've found that the material via Roku has cut back our cable usage by 40-50%. It is a friendly remote device, too. ....not too many buttons!

This is my third Roku and first Roku stick. The stick is just as fast as the Roku 3 box. I love the fact that it is hidden behind the TV by plugging directly into HDMI and USB ports. Very easy to use and can watch anything I want using subscription services and my cable login. Very Affordable!

I purchased this for my cousin last Christmas. I had no idea what it was. I was at Best Buy getting a flatscreen tv for my cousin. He had recently split with his ex and was struggling to get on his feet in a new place after deposits, etc. He also was spending his first Xmas alone, so I wanted to cheer him up & basically distract him from his pain. I knew he couldn’t afford cable, I asked the guy at Best Buy if he has any ideas. I didn’t want to just get him the flat screen tv and then leave him to buy a DVD player and just watch movies. The guy suggested this roku thing, I didn’t know if it would work for his situation, so I took a chance on it. Let me tell u, I’m fairly certain this gift was what kept my cousin sane this Christmas. He spent the day working on setting it all up instead of being sad and lonely. He uses the roku stick to watch stuff on Netflix. I think just having a normal thing like being able to watch a movie was a comfort to him. So worth it!

I bought it for a bedroom tv and it seems like it'll be easier to take along on trips. Happy with the purchase so far...Works like other Roku's with good performance. Does get a little warm. The included USB cable is pretty short and depending on your TV, may not provide enough power on the USB port to fully power it (not obvious), in which case you might need an external adapter.

Lots of cool content and the streaming is much more consistent and stable than gaming consoles.

Not too hard to set up. Able to pick up amany over the air stations. Good alternative to cable.
