While the unit works (mostly) as advertised, it can be a bit slow in loading up. Recommend plugging unit into 110 V rather than using the USB plug on the TV. If the TV is off for an extended period, it takes a while to charge up enough to start working. Otherwise, nice portable unit - good for travelling.

Bought a streaming stick I can stream Netflix - what a cool little toy! Cheap but really powerful. My only complaints is that most if not all streaming sites require an expensive subscription, but oh well. This little stick has a lot to offer.

Less than $50 you can't beat that! Perfect gift!!.

We cut the cable, plugged the Roku - Streaming Stick (2016 Model) - Black into the usb port and had instant TV. The stick is portable, take wherever you go,could not do that with cable. Picture is very clear, even clearer than cable.

Roku does what it claims with our wireless 5GHz wireless Apple router in the next room. No special orientation of the Roku device behind our Sanyo TV was required and Amazon Prime freebees were easy as 3.1415926 to setup (only once required). I have not added other subscription but plan to later this year.

Our Roku stick is great. I use it in the bedroom with an hdmi extender cable on a mounted TV. When we travel, just pop it off and bring it to the hotel or other lodging. It works great and has a great and easy to use interface!

I wanted to replace cable, but also wanted to be able to keep up with game of thrones. I have other devices that can do netflix and some of the other apps, but for their hbo app you needed a cable or satelite provider. This rectified that for me.

Overall, the only issue that I have with my Roku is that on occasion there is a lag between the time you depress a button on the remote and when the unit responds. It doesn't happen all of the time, just occasionally. Aside from that I have been very pleased with my experience. It made cutting the cord very easy.

Roku sticks are a great way to get rid of a TWC box. The downside is it takes a little bit longer to turn on the TV and to get to all of the channels. Now that I'm used to it, it's not an issue. Occasionally I have difficulty connecting to my Wi-Fi I've been told that the Roku box is even more reliable than the stick.

If you are looking for a device that can stream all of the major streaming apps(netflix, hulu, amazon, vudu, etc) then this stick is for you. Roku streaming devices are the only devices that will give you access to all major streaming apps.

We love this and were able to get rid of satellite for a fraction of the cost. The buffering happens but not enough to justify paying $200 a month for other services... usually only happens at height times of Internet use in the evenings.

Roku is a great device and easy to set up. The only issue I have is with the remote. I could press a button on it 10 times and nothing happens so I have to keep resetting the streaming stick and re-pairing it with the remote. My solution was downloading the Roku app to my phone and it works great as a remote.

Needed a cheap alternative for a non-HD tv wall mounted in front of a treadmill in the basement. It would have worked if the HDMI ports were on the side. Luckily I had a wall mount shelf attached for the cable box so I returned this and got the Roku Express. Check where your HDMI ports are before buying.

We enjoy watching YouTube stuff on TV, and there are lots of other things to watch still exploring. We use it with our HDTV and an Antenna no cable. Does limit some of the things we can see, but still a whole lot and no monthly bill!!

Roku is ok, I think theres better options. Chromescast is the way to go

This is my second Roku and I love it. Like that I can unplug and move to another room/TV and all my memory is stored. Has access to so many channels and most have free trials so you can figure out which ones you want to subscribe to.

This streaming device just needs wireless internet and a TV to enjoy YouTube, JW Broadcast, Drama Fever, and other apps in full HD color. Roku has better resolution output than my Comcast box. We use Roku and$10 anntena to watch TV.

This is my first time I deal with this product and the set up was easy but results were good, not excellent as I expected: 1.- I have issues with the antenna y bought at Amazon: I only get a few excellent local tv stations but just a few. 2.-When I change to Roku settings everything is different in picture quality.

I love the roku stick it is so easy to use and the kids have no problem when trying to use it I would refer this to a family member or friend I have had one for over three years and it is the best thing I bought and I ditched cable.

Even though initial configuration was cumbersome, once set up worked as advertised, worked well on my home WIFI. Only concern (probably true with all of these devices) is having to register and enter data for every single service, rather than it pre-populating information when signing up from Web site.
