The stick is faster than the entry level Roku and you can definitely tell. For the additional few dollars it's worth the upgrade.

I bought this for the extra television in the bedroom. I also have the roku 1 xs and there are many upgrades with the roku stick. . The remote is easier to use and everything loads so much faster. I also love the extra preset buttons on the remote. Netflix is just one click away.

Purchased 3 of the 2016 Roku Streaming sticks. Two work perfectly; however, the battery in the third one died after approximately 2 weeks. Replaced the battery and am waiting to see if the battery that came with the Roku was old or if the Roku is defective. The only tv that the Roku did not work well with is an old Sony Bravia (approx. 10+ yrs). The picture was fine but the audio was very poor.

I was using Roku from long time now, this one is more sleek and easy to connect. I have observed it gets little hot. The only issue with Roku products I faced is they restart very frequently not sure if they are updates every time. I feel this is worth it for the price paid, also when compared to Chrome caste lot more better for casting purposes.

I love having this to stream content. It has saved me from having to expand cable.

I really like Roku. I've used Amazon Fire, Chromecast and Apple TV. I think the ease of use, the remote and the availability of apps moves Roku out front. I use this one in our bedroom and the Ultra in the main room since Ultra can be controlled with a universal remote.

Great device overall roku does it the best out of all of the competition. Works great using hotel internet, portable, easy to set up. App on the smartphone is a must, control everything from smart phone and alternative sound to your phone instead of tv speakers.

Roku is easy to install and can travel with you or be used on other TVs in the home

I originally purchased an amazon fire stick but returned it after learning during set up that it did not support the spectrum cable TV app. The roku stick does & between the two, the roku was much quicker & easier to set up. I use it primarily as a cable box for my rec room & it performs great! Good picture & incredibly responsive remote.

I got this to replace a PS3 used in the bed room for streaming. This works better than the Roku 2 I had before the PS3. No problems with the network connection, the phone app is great as a second remote. It's connected to a USB port on the TV, so it takes about 10-15 seconds to boot up. I might switch it over to the supplied power adapter so it is always on, just waiting for the TV to turn on.

I was looking for a streaming device. I was thinking of upgrading to a blu-ray player. I did some research about streaming and came across reviews on the Roku. It was a purchase I am happy I made. It was so simple to setup and steams everything flawlessly. Highly recommend.

This is my second stick as we needed one for an additional room. Easy to setup and use. Much faster than my old DVD player which had streaming built in. Doesn't do 4K or HDR, but for the price I can't complain and neither TV I have supports those. Highly recommended.

I bought this streaming stick thinking that it would be nowhere near as good as the other versions of Roku that I own. I own the original, Roku 3, Roku 4, and Roku TV. The streaming stick delivers just as good as any of the others in such a small form. Seriously impressed.

Switched from DirecTV to Roku, and subscribed to PlaystationVue. The move saved me $100/mo and my wife and I still have all the channels we normally watch. That includes all the sports I watch, which was my biggest fear in switching. The Roku stick is a great device for us because we have two TVs that are almost never used at the same time. We can move the stick between rooms easily. I also love the idea for taking it with me when I travel. Many hotels are adding HDMI ports for in their rooms, so you can take your TV with you. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there have been some glitches with the screen freezing occasionally. When that happens we have to restart the device, and then it works fine. Very annoying, but still better than paying for DirecTV.

When Spectrum / Charter increased my cable and internet bill to $140 per month I ordered the Roku stick. I have since cancelled the cable portion and only have WIFI. I signed up for DirecTV Now and have reduced my monthly bill to about $90 per month. (We wanted live streaming TV) The Roku has worked pretty good, we do occasionally get "buffering" message but not bad. If you don't care about live TV, you can get away with just the Roku. I'm going to purchase a new TV with the Roku built in.

The Roku stick is compact and is hidden behind your TV which gives your media center a clean look. I use mine primarily with Sling TV which is a streaming service that allows you to cut your cable TV bill. I'm saving over $80 per month now and I have no regrets.

I'm just catching up with technology and found this so easy to hook up and use!!
