Great Solution For HD TVs Without WiFi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roku will make your TV WiFi capable and intelligent if it has an HDMI port. I found the Roku stick (2016 model) to be the best option after reading reviews of the various solutions available. Better still if your TV also has a USB port so as to not need external power from an electrical outlet. You will find plenty of free web apps (including YouTube, various content providers and a web browser) to use with a little bit of time and effort setting up the device. Easier and better stillto manage the device if you can download the Roku app to your smart phone. Apps are all very responsive. Great that you can move the device from TV to TV if necessary. Annoying to have to register online with Roku before using the devise; but understandable if you want to or may think you may want to use the premium content providers.

My 3rd ROKU project

I bought this one for the sale price for my tv downstairs and have a built in ROKU tv in my bedroom and purchased a basic model for my mothers tv. Love this product.

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this because I was sick of paying Direct TV's ridiculous prices and I haven't looked back even when they send me a 300.00 visa gift card to come back every month. Once I set it up (which was a breeze) I instantly got free tv. They also offer not just free ROKU tv but many other free streaming channels that carry tons of movies, documentaries, sports, kids programming etc... Trust me this is the best first step option and the cheapest to cutting the cable. Oh and another added benefit, I get tv even when it storms or snows, but the one thing to keep in mind, you do need internet service and a WiFi router helps if you don't want to run a cable from your computer to your tv.

Great for the living room

It has every app you need, and even a few you didn't know you needed. Its super easy to learn how to use, easy to set up and very quick.
