Purchased this item to replace a few cable boxes. For watching movies it's great, for live tv it kept freezing, so we kept one and returned the other 2 with no problems. Back to the cable boxes we go.

I love having a roku but the remote frequently doesn't work. The stick plugs into the back of the TV perhaps making it difficult to pick up a signal. Poor design has lead to a frustrating experience.

I can see the appeal for Roku streaming devices, their cheap and have a decent feature set. That said, I found the user interface to be clunky. Every time I felt like I was getting somewhere, it lead no where. One example is adding TV Shows to "My Feed." You can't actually drill down into a specific episode. You have to clock on the entire season. Apps such as Amazon's Instant Video app looked really dated compared to the same app on Amazon's own Fire TV. All in all, I would look elsewhere. I prefer Apple TVs myself, but that's solely because my household is filled with Apple products.

It's a very basic, 1990s-like device, but the ONE thing that makes it stand out and that I like is its 'Private Listening' feature, which you can also use with the AppleTV but with an awkward workaround.

I had issues connecting at times and when I switched to the Amazon stick seemed to have less issues. I still use one Roku on a spare room tv, where there are still times connection is difficult.

Negatives...Because you must give a credit card, I had to call to get a way around that. To use with a Slingbox, as promised, has yet to work out. Positive...can access PBS programming, Amazon Prime.

A bit misleading. Lots of channels to choose from but most require a subscription or at least an account. News channels are not current. I admit I have to learn a bit more about it, though.

I purchased to keep from having to rent a set top box. The stick works great on my bedroom TV. However, it was purchased for a different TV and would not fit in the HDMI slot on that TV.

For the value it is not a bad streaming stick but it is very slow and does not have all the options as an Amazon fire TV stick or a higher and Roku model great for streaming sticks on a budget

When this works, it works great. Has to be unplugged and rebooted if left connected for a while. Once you figure out how to connect it to hotel wifi, it can be nice to have on a trip.

Worked great for about 4 days, then just quit. Unable to reset or reboot. Very hot. From what I've read online, it shuts down when it gets too hot. As it's plugged in, it has no built in way to cool, it overheats quickly. Basically a piece of garbage. I do like the Roku that is built in to one of my tv's though. It works well. The plug in stick, though, is garbage.

I was disappointed with instructions only showing few pictures and very little written instructions. I took it back to Bet Buy and they told me how to install it. I have not used it.

It does what it says. OK but not impressive. Requires scrolling between channels can not go directly to new channel. Slow loading. Price greater than value. Not an intuitive device.

Works fine. Takes some time to boot up, maybe because its USB powered? Also, does not work with IR remotes, so unless you have an RF remote, you'll need to use the included remote.

I am disappointed by all the channels that I CANNOT get. It keeps saying I need a cable TV or satellite subscription to view. It works for a few, but not as much as I hoped.

I bought this for my Yukon XL Denali. However, it will only hook up to HDMI so it won't work. I had to return it and get a different model Roku that works with RCA cables.

Good product but can not be used without a cable to extend from HDMI because it does not fit into any HDMi port. I've tried on 2 different TV's. I needed to buy a cable.

Glad we tried it. Not too awesome. Returned it and got firestick instead. Much happier with that. Roku had too many hoops to jump through to attain what we wanted from it

The purchase was made because a new Vizio TV was not as "smart" as it was suppose to be. An update is pending for smart to be really smart. So we took the Roku back.

Set up was a little annoying and had to get Rocky support involved. THEY were very helpful. Unit has intermittent interrupts which is a nuisance, but it does do its job
