Pros: easy to use, fast , works perfect with the uploaded apps/channels and it has a lot of them. Cons: you can only use the channels that are preloaded and they are not like the normal you will find on android or Apple they look different and do not have same features.

I have turned off my Direct TV and I now get my TV service on ROKU. I am not savvy when it comes to learning new things but I have enjoyed my Roku because I can get what I want when I want. It by itself can get many channels off the internet but I went one step further and got Crackle and Hulu. I am set for the winter.

Easy to install and use. Gave 4 stars because a volumn up and down on remote is needed.

This streaming stick works just like the larger Roku 2 but it easily plugs in to an HDMI port on the back of the TV. The remote is RF so it does not require line of sight. It responds fast and does everything I need.

The Fire stick we got awhile ago got severely hot so we returned it. Months later we tried the Roku and a month later it is perfect. My mom is 58 and barely knows how to work a computer but she understands the Roku.

The stick is very easy to use and to control. With the Roku app you can use your mobile device as a remote control and as a speaker if you connect the headphones.

Great product. Love that the user is able to plug it right into a HMDI slot and forget about it. Love that the remote does not have to be pointed in a particular direction to operate, takes getting used to though.

I love my roku, it was very easy to set up and use. But my sons dog ate my remote, then things got complicated. I couldn't find a remote only for my streaming stick. So I bought a Roku express, and again the dog ate that remote so I ordered my third one. Now I know how wonderful it is I have to have a working one.

I bought this Roku streaming stick for my bedroom. I don't have Cable TV in there, just OTA and thought xfinity has the streaming app for the phone and tablet, then I could use a roku to watch it in the bedroom. That was before I realized they had the new beta app on roku. And it worked, have cable in the bedroom now without drilling and installing another cable in the wall or adding a box. And of course we have netflix available as well as other channels we can add on. This is my first roku and my wife and I love it, that we're going to cut cable and get another roku for the living room. Its quad-core processor is fast, everything streams seamlessly. The Roku stick is very powerful for such a small device.

I had owned a Roku XS and decided it was time to upgrade. My goal was to buy one of the new units with either the audio jack in the remote or one that could use the audio through the mobile app. At first I discounted the stick version due to perceived limitations based on its size. Reading the reviews, I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did! There is no unit to see or hide, connectivity is reliable and performance is impressive. Using the audio through the iPhone app has allowed me to listen to shows while on the treadmill. I currently have two of them. An additional bonus is I use my cable company's app and no longer have to pay for additional cable boxes. Overall, I highly recommend the Roku Streaming Stick!

I got my first Roku for $40 and had an issue from the start with the remote losing its ability to control the device. I had to remove the batteries and put them back in to get it to work. Roku was very helpful, but I got tired of going back a forth with them trying to troubleshoot and decided to just return it to Best Buy after 2 weeks. I was allowed to exchange it with no issues from Best Buy. The second Roku has worked flawlessly, no issues whatsoever. It seems to perform a little quicker than the Amazon Fire stick I purchased at roughly the same time. Other than the initial issues I had, I think I have a slight preference for the Roku over the Amazon Firestick if it continues to work reliably.

IMO, best portable streaming product on the market. If you have a non Smart TV, this will make it smart. The Remote is easy to work and I prefer it over the Google Cast system. Picture quality is outstanding.

We have one tv with the Amazon Fire stick and decided to try the Roku on our other tv. We ended up liking the Roku better. We like how the Roku lists your apps and you choose which app to open - such as Netflix, Amazon Video, etc. The first Roku we bought kept freezing up but we returned it to Best Buy and exchanged it and we have had no problems with this new one. We just wish the one-touch buttons at the bottom were programmable as we don't have some of the services for those buttons-so we just don't use those buttons. We find the Roku very easy to set up and easy to navigate. And we really like that you can download the Roku app on your phone and then show photos and videos from your phone wirelessly on your tv.

We recently got rid of cable tv and decided to use Roku devices on all our tv's. They are small and unobtrusive and they work really well. We used PlayStation Vue to stream through the Roku and it works great!

This device is the upgraded version from the purple stick, its faster, more responsive and shows crystal clear picture. I would recommend this to any cable cutter who wants to choose what they want to see.

Setup could not have been easier--and I have had 3 other Roku devices as well as the current generation Apple TV. This device is snappy and the OS is just the easiest to use by far. Highly recommend this.

I also have a Roku 2. The current stick is just as fast as my Roku 2. It works great. The wif remote works well. I will say that the stick seems to need to be rebooted a little mor eoften than my Roku 2.

I own a Roku 2, Roku 3, and 2 Roku sticks. I mainly use the devices to stream Netflix, Amazon video, HBO, ESPN, and Time Warner. All of the devices are easy to setup and connect to my WiFi network without any problems even in parts of my home where the WiFi signal is not the strongest. I also have a Chromecast and the Roku Stick connects better to my WiFi network than the Chromecast so I stopped using the Chromecast. The Roku Stick is a nice way to add streaming capability at a low cost to TVs in my home that are not used as frequently. If you are familiar with Roku menus, you will know that their user interface is simple to use and when your add additional devices, your channels automatically appear on the new devices. My only slight complaint with the Roku Stick is that it takes longer to start up than my other Roku Boxes. However, once it starts, it works fine. For less than $40, the Roku Stick is well worth the cost.

I am very pleased with this. I bought it for the tv in the spare room and it is fantastic. I am able to watch Netflix and Amazon Prime shows. I am planning on purchasing another one for an additional tv.
