    Very poor customer service

    Have three Roku sticks. One suddenly could no longer find my WIFI. I called Roku for help. Expect an hour wait before you get through the queue (why do other manufacturers give you the option of leaving a number and keeping your place in the queue but this tech company doesn't?). The service tech I eventually spoke to tried various things, then suggested I call Comcast and if that didn't work, call back). Why? My phone, my computer and the other two Roku sticks find the Wifi; why would this be a Comcast problem. She refused to do anything further until I called Comcast. I tried resetting the device on my own but it's still not working. What a wast of money and time.

    Has 2 known issues - don't buy this model

    I have 2 different Roku models: Roku Premiere & this one Roku - Streaming Stick (2016 Model). I've never had any issues with the Roku Premiere but with this 2016 Streaming Stick I've had constant issues with the remote & internet connection. The remote stops working even though the batteries are new. We have to take out the batteries and put them back in and it magically works again but its annoying to have to keep doing so. Additionally, every other day, the internet connection drops and you have to reconnect it, even though the reception is at full bars. I googled these 2 issues and it seems to happen to everyone with with this particular model. I will be returning ASAP.

    3600R (black stick) BAD remote

    I've had 4 Rokus, including the 3500R (purple stick). The 3600R has a seriously flawed remote that frequently freezes making you think the Roku is freezing. It's the remote. Sometimes new batteries will fix it for a few hours, sometimes not. Do your homework on this one. Other Roku models are GREAT. Not this one.

    Resets itself, loses private listening everyday

    While viewing Roku resets itself. Loses private listening and have to do a hard reboot of the system to get private listening to work. I use the earplugs that come with the Roku, so there should not be any compatibility issues. At least once a day, the Roku will freeeze and reset it's self. I tried switching the HDMI cable, using different HDMI input on my television still Roku fails. Roku does not not support bluetooth. Remote battery life is horrible due to using with private listening which drains the battery quickly. Do not recommend this product.

    Roku is being scammed. You plug in your new Roku and when you attempt to register it you are told to call a number where they tell you that in accordance with your purchase agreement you must now pay a registration fee. Also indicates you other Roku devices will be disabled pending payment of the new registration fee. The scam is VERY sophisticated. Once you register the Roku does not work. I believe Roku is aware of the problem, but not being proactive in countering it or informing customers.

    The 2016 Roku streaming stick lacks the fundamental hardware to do what is advertised. It simply will NOT stream live or even on demand video of significant length without buffering. I have even turned down the video quality in the roku settings and still buffering makes the content unwatchable to the point that audio will completely drop out. This product only works for those who want to watch short 5 min youtube clips all day. If you're intending on watching a full 3 hr live sport event, buy a media player with more memory and a hard drive.

    Quit Working

    The Roku stick gave me issues before but has completely stopped working. I had the product less than 2 months and the stick itself is the one that does not work. I tried unplugging and resetting the device multiple without the issue being resolved. The light does not even come on. There is an apparent issue with the stick. The remote still attempts to pair although there is nothing to pair to. A complete disappointment and complete waste of money.

    Works intermittently showing loading or screen freezes. In addition we can't watch local TV stations. You can add a channel locast but that will let you watch for 15 minutes and then cut to the donation screen and won't go back to live. Other channels say they have local channels, not! Hooking up an antenna was not what I had planned on doing. Returning it

    1-roku was missing a part, unable to go to a store, paid ups $10 pick up return charge 2-Best Buy sent open box, insisted on ups prepaid pick up, after much confusion with ups, the pick up and delivery were the same day 3- hooked 3rd one up AND FOUND OUT THERE IS A $70 ACTIVATION FEE. i will be returning this one to a store for a full refund and hopefully no more confusion with outsourced phone customer care from best buy and roku.

    The stick has very, very poor connectivity. Would only play Netflix videos at 240p when it would connect. Hulu took three or four minutes to load the home screen, and then wouldn't play any videos. Other streaming devices I have used on the same TV in the same place with the same internet provider work fine. Will never buy another Roku product.

    constant freezing waste of time and money

    I do mobile app development and have done a chromecast project for a cable company and an Android TV app for a sports network. I wanted to compare to Roku. Roku constantly, and I mean constantly, interrupts the stream with loading message. It's so bad that my wife wants to switch back to cable. Returning device and buying something else.

    This has to be the worst electronic device I have ever purchased. Fortunately it was cheap so I got the pleasure of crushing it under my heel. It booted erratically, never connected to my networks and was nothing but a useless pain in the you-know-what.

    Remote constantly unpairs from device. You have to take out & reatart the stick for the remote to pair. It is good for about 15 mins then does it again. I have a firestick, will be buying another.

    After about ten minutes of viewing, video/audio are out of sync making for bad viewing experience. Unplugging Roku and restarting gives brief temporary fix. Roku tech is not viable option. Firestick or Chromecast are better choices.

    This unit worked great for about 2 months then the remote quit. Put in new batteries with no results. Tried to re pair with stick but no remote functions work period. Acts like has dead battery. Poor hardware quality.

    I purchased this to get access to shows that arent on regular dish tv. I will be returning this tomorrow and hopefully get my money back. This thing is horrible. VERY horrible.

    Rented AirBnB apartment with Roku. Would not load TV or live programs. 90 seconds of program, 20 seconds of "retrieving". Live news programming was unavailable.
