When they were first around, I thought Roku sticks were pointless because I've always had other media devices to access apps like Netflix and HBO Go on. Further, Smart TVs of course handle that capability already on their own without the need for another device. Now, with multiple HDTVs in my household, including a Dumb TV that doesn't have this luxury but still has a beautiful picture, this is a cheap and totally effective way to upgrade older TVs to an effective Smart TV. The 2016 version of this Roku stick being used with a Samsung from the late 2000s is actually FASTER than my actual Smart TV's interface, and it's from 2014-2015. This little guy is worth every penny.

Roku streaming stick is easier Togo with you wherever you go. Only issue I had is it has gotten really hot and has frozen on me twice so far. Just unplugged and reset and starting working again but other than that works fine. We happy with it.

I did not want to change my HD TV to a smart tv as I have only had my current TV for 4 years. I did want the features of a smart TV and I figured for 50 dollars this wouldn't be a bad option. I absolutely love my roku and many of my fellow peers and sorority sisters have also invested in a roku device because of how happy I was. Minus missing a few streaming services I use, I can watch as much as I want. I even have channels my mom's brand new Samsung Smart TV does not (i.e. HBO GO). 10/10. All you need is an HDMI plug and wifi. The only drawback is the cord is short and my outlet is not near to the tv so I have to make sure that I do not knock it out of the HDMI port.

I researched various streaming sticks and after quite a lot of research I decided to go with Roku. There are a few competitors of Roku that don't offer many channels that I watch. Roku stays updated and I'm so happy with Roku that I have a Roku stick on all 4 televisions in my home.

Purchased this for a 2nd TV. I discovered features I wasn't previously aware of, such as the remote app for my iPhone. I'm planning on purchasing another one with my next TV purchase.

Bought this to use for Netflix and other streaming and it's perfect. Connects well, and very portable. Have another, older Roku for another TV and this one is superior in every way.

Roku is the best streaming device today. I use on all my older TVs.

This was is a very fast stick and always loads up well, has tons of great app choices including the main streaming apps. I own both this and a fire stick and they are both exceptional

It works great. No real issues. I just wish that sling had Fox news.

I upgraded from a Roku 2 XD that was just too slow, especially for the heavy YouTube app. I use the Hulu app the most and there is a bug that Hulu is working on. This bug prevents all the tiles on the page to repopulate when a show is over when the Auto-Play mode is turned OFF. It requires you to go to the Roku home screen and back in to the app. I've contacted Hulu and have been told this is a known problem and was given a free month. If I could critique one thing about Roku it would be the four quick keys on the front of the remote; they need to be customizable. Overall I am happy with the purchase and am pleased with how much faster this is over the old 2XD.

Great product for streaming, but could use some performance updates. The connection to my internet isn't the best with this device and should be upgraded. Otherwise, no complaints! Great device, easy to install, serves my entire family well.

This is easy to set up and works great. It was inexpensive too. We've had this about 6 months and there have been no issues. It's great that we can move it between different TVs.

I switched from the first generation roku to the roku stick and it's been amazing. I've had to for a week. It doesn't take nearly as long to load my shows. It doesn't freeze or buffer nearly as much. I thought it was my internet connection but it was definitely the previous roku.

This device has simplified the process of streaming TV. Easy set-up, simple & effective remote and many channels available that I was never aware of. No regrets. Happy wife and kids.

They had a great price on the Roku and I needed one. Works great! They have newer ones out now, but I can't see that they do any more or less than this one.

I love the simple OS of the Roku, and the minimum bottom remote works great too. Since this uses WiFi and not IR the remote does not have to be pointed right at the TV to work.

This Roku is the best streaming device I've used, including the Fire Stick, Chromecast, and previous gen Roku stick. Fast, has all of the apps, nice RF remote, and inexpensive.

Needed to provide father in law with streaming services on his tv but he is not too good with high tech products. This was the best option, simple and easy to use without needing a smartphone as remote. He loves the quality of streaming.
