For anyone looking for a was to ditch cable and stream content I highly recommend a Roku device. There are a ton of free apps for the device that will let you stream content that is free, though I will admit that a large portion of it is older content. You will get all the standard apps like Netflix, VUDU, Amazon Prime, Hulu etc. We use 4 of these in the house, one for each tv. I haven't paid for cable in years. If you need your regular tv shows you can also, for a small monthly fee use Sling TV.

This is one of my best electronic devices. Love the easy way it connects. Set up is so easy. Great selection of apps. Great deal!

Bought to screen mirror my tablet. Works well, easy to use and fast. If you don't have a smart tv, this turns your tv into n one.

If you have or had an older purple Roku stick, this is definitely worth upgrading to or giving a try! I had an older Roku box and my sister has an older Roku stick. They are both slow so I was skeptical, but I bought it and it's amazingly fast. Faster than the smart tv itself. I use it over the tv smart features because I love the Roku search. If I put something in, it tells me immediately from all the major apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and more where I can watch something for free or rent or buy.

This Roku is so easy to set up and use- it’s a no brainer. I stream Amazon, Hulu, Sling, and Netflix and can personalize the apps to show only my favorites. This is my third Roku and I will be buying another!

I got the original Roku stick so I could watch movies, etc. when traveling. The new version is faster and better for a great price.

I already own 3 of the old versions of the Roku sticks and have been happy. However, I've always noticed that navigation in some of the apps was a bit slow, and the system wasn't as responsive as I would have wanted when trying to switch between apps or start them up. Recently, having moved, I found that I needed an additional Roku stick to cover a new TV in another room. I am happy I decided to get the upgrade. The system boots so much faster and most apps load much more quickly. The biggest difference that I can see is in the Sling app: Before, switching between channels was somewhat slow. It took time to catch up with the show previews. Now, show previews load almost as fast as I can navigate between channels. It's difficult for me to go back to using the older Roku sticks when I have to, but luckily, I have the new model in the room I watch TV the most. There are two minor cons that I need to point out (note, these are minor enough that they didn't affect my 5 star rating). First, I wasn't able to power this edition with the USB port on my TV. This isn't a huge issue as I enjoy having the Roku available immediately when the TV switches on. Honestly, the only reason why I had consider using the USB port to power the stick is because of my second pet peeve with this edition. Sometimes, when I've been away from the TV for a while, like when I go to start watching TV at night, after work, I'll start Sling, select a channel, and find that it won't load. None of the channels load live TV. It just keeps spinning, like it'll eventually load. I found that if I encounter this, I just need to go to Settings>System>Restart, then open Sling again. Shows come up in a few seconds. I thought that having the Roku start up every time the TV started would help eliminate this issue, bus as previously noted, my TV's USB port isn't adequate enough for the task. This is likely just a specific case with my TV and Roku combo, so I would think 99% of those reading can probably disregard. Overall, I would recommend this Roku to anyone.

I only got this cause I really needed something compatable with my spectrum service. I am blown away that this is the only caster that has that option. Remote is actually really awesome. I was suprised how conveniante and how much I use it. Its actually way better then getting my phone out and looking for the next thing to watch. Also if you download the app on your phone you can plug your headset into your phone and hear whats on the TV. Just FYI in case you want the one that has the audio port.

This is a great little plug and play device to smarten up any TV in your home. Simple yet very powerful. Worth every cent!

I have Apple TV/FireStick/Chrome Cast/and a so called Smart TV... and never had a Roku..Our cable company switched to all digital so I had to either get a box for each tv and pay $4.99 a month each or I could buy a Roku and stream with their app that only supported Roku. I Ordered a Roku and was extremely impress with how easy it was to set up and use. I loaded all my favorite channels on it and it works great! I have now retired all the other devices and have put a Roku on each TV.

It's everything I expected. Very easy to set up. Works like it's supposed to. Not really sure how much better this model is vs. the entry level, but based on reviews, I went with this one. I use this when there's nothing on to watch with my antenna channels. I haven't had cable for 12 years now. It started as an experiment to watch less tv and get outside more. Now with all of these streaming devices and the good old "bunny ears", I'm watching more TV than I ever did with my overpriced cable.

After researching which streaming stick would be best and personal recommendations; I settled on this product due to high reviews online. I picked up and installed it within minutes, I'm super happy with this product, not a single issue or complaint. I can't believe there's no subscription charge for this product. Just input into HMDI plug and go. I've also added the Slingtv subscription, between the Roku stick and Slingtv app, I'll be saving $100/mo for not paying for cable; good riddance cable!!!✌

I have tried the amazon stick, and the other competitors. This is by far the fastest and better choice for under 50 dollars.

Set-up was quick and simple and television viewing for everything from Netflix to Hulu, Amazon and even local cable is an improved experience. Very versatile and a take-with flexibility. Highly recommend!

This stick has improved from the previous model. Its much faster through the menus. Great for streaming from all the providers

We use this for our 2ndary tv. We have newest Roku Ultra for our primary tv. We cut Comcast Xfinity & got the MohuLeaf antennae, Sling streaming svc, and Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. Save so much money!

Allows us to pick and choose our viewing based on what we want. Streams great from the net. Highly recommend this product.

Easy to use and streaming is excellent! Had streaming issue with google chrome, returned it to store and purchased the Roku.

I was apprehensive about unplugging from cable, but honestly it's a million times better. All in with Hulu, Netflix and broadband I'm $120/month to the good. Even after buying 3 Roku sticks, a digital antenna and a cable modem/router the savings already paid for it! The Roku stick is super easy to install, super easy to use (my 4 year old uses his all by himself) and it just WORKS. Get it and unplug! Can't wait to try traveling with it and not have to watch the lousy hotel cable channels.

This is my 4th Roku I have bought and out of all of them I like this one the most. Its cheap and powerful then its predecessor.
