Picture quality is not the best but manageable. The accessibility to all of these apps are amazing. I use charter spectrum for my cable / internet and the Roku is compatible. I only needed to lease 1cable box and the other TV'S I can use Roku, which pays for itself.

I really like the option that allows you to use your Ipod touch or Iphone as both a remote control and headset. The access to an array of channels and services virtually allows you to use the streaming stick to replace your cable TV service for services like Sling. The streaming experience is very nice. I would definitely recommend this device to anyone wanting to try streaming on an non-smart HDTV.

We have several Rokus for our tvs and needed one for the guest room - this one is perfect! Easy to use and small! Love it!

I've been looking at Roku devices since they came on the market years ago. But what really pushed me into purchasing the 2016 edition Roku Stick was a bad experience with a Vizio Smart TV purchase. Although the Vizio does great when it comes to overall viewing performance -- its smart TV functionality is terrible. Since I had a unused BB gift card and the Roku was on sale -- I took the plunge. Upon setting up the Roku, I found that it was vastly superior to the Vizio in every way -- overall performance, amount of apps -- you name it -- the Roku did it. In the few weeks that I've had the device I've had very few hiccups which required a reboot -- mostly due to the Youtube app which had a tendency to lock up. Streaming performance tends to be solid with an occasional dropped stream. Which, I attribute this to heavy Internet traffic. For instance, I used the Roku to monitor SkyNEWS as well as RT during the recent BREXIT vote and I did notice some sluggishness or stream dropping -- but again I think this was due to high traffic. The down sides of this Roku are mainly due to it being the lowest cost device in the Roku lineup. Because of this the remote does not have a volume control or headset capabilities like the higher end units. There is an Android app (and I assume iOS) which allows Roku remote and headset functionality via a tablet or a smartphone. However, the app (Android version) is somewhat glitchy and does need improvement. The stick itself is limited to WiFi connections only due to its size and lack of an Ethernet port. Given the aforementioned, you should make sure that you have a good WiFi signal when using the Roku Stick. Also, when setting up a Roku, it may seem that a credit/debit card is required but in actuality it is not. It's just that Roku does not make this a easy option to find when setting up their devices -- so one star left off. Other than this, I consider the Roku Stick to be a great purchase which would please anyone who is looking to cut cable costs while maintaining robust content consumption options.

I won't review the Roku itself, there are plenty of places to get that information. However, if you are looking to upgrade from the previous streaming sticks or a Roku 2 or 1. I'd so go for it, the responsiveness alone is worth it, particularly if you use the YouTube app. The YouTube app was almost unusable on the previous version, now I can search and stream with ease. I have also noticed my Plex videos play smoother too. All of that, and it's smaller too, very worthwhile upgrade in my opinion.

We decided to cut the cable but my televisions were not “smart’. The roku just plugs in the USB port on my televisions and I was immediately ready to stream. What are you waiting for? Cut that cord!

This is our second Roku streaming stick we've bought. We had the first one for almost a year and decided we needed a second one for the bedroom tv. My teenagers are both asking for one for Christmas.

My purpose of buying Roku is so that I don't have to pay Comcast for an extra box every month. That's an extra $$$ save PER BOX! Roku is compatible with Comcast Xfinity where you download their Channel (I don't know what its called) and you can stream all the channels you subscribe with Comcast to your TV. Roku works great! No lag and no connection issues even though my router is far from the other bedroom. With Roku, this may actually help you eliminate your cable bill.

Small and easy to use. Interfaces with the Roku app wonderfully. Great functionality. Just wish you could stream wth it.

The streaming stick is very fast and the menus are easy to navigate. I prefer it over Chromecast. Great for mounted TVs.

My sister had received a Roku for a birthday gift. I liked hers and knew I had to buy one for my bedroom. I am super glad I did. Now I can watch Netflix in my bedroom without having to move my Xbox in there or hassle with my laptop. The roku works great I wish I would have known about it earlier. Setting it up is a little pain but easy if you remember your passwords. You really cannot go wrong buying a Roku. If you want a easy way to stream this is it. Plug it up and watch. Perfect.

I love the convenience of this stick (plugging into USB behind tv), but it certainly has its flaws. This is my first Roku device, so the old, sort of clunky interface was a surprise to me. It's nice they have a lot of stations, but finding them is confusing. Navigating through the menus just feels dated. Speaking of that I'm not a fan of the remote. It has useful nice feeling buttons, but they're hard to find in the dark. It also feels extremely cheap. All of these negatives said, this device stays connected to wifi, and hardly ever loses the stream. That's the main function of the device and it does that well.

Easy to install, just plug into HDMI slot & enter code from website. Easy to use remote. You can download Roku app too!

Works well. Doesn't take up alot of space. So many choices and way better than my satellite or cable. Cheeper too.

Our old TV isn't very 'smart' but it still works great, so we've been trying to decide the best way to stream movies and other online products. Up until this purchase, we were using an old DVD w/ wifi, but it was clunky and slow. It also didn't offer as many applications as we wanted, so I did some research and this was the best reviewed one out there, in addition to being very affordable. It's fast and does everything we wanted, and then some. You will not be disappointed!

I purchased the Roku stick after using the Roku 3 on two other tvs. I didn't want to spend too much money but wanted to be able to watch other than over the air stations in my bedroom. The Roku stick was great. No issues connecting to the network, and was easy to use. I like the ability to take it with you and still have the channels you like. Great interface to surf through. If you are a first time cable cutter and you want to test it out before jumping in full bore, this is the product for you. If you find you don't like it, you can use it as an enhancement to your CATV or Satellite. Great product.
