I had an older Wii that was really iffy on streaming, I did everything I could find on the error message, new router, new modem, etc. It finally just couldn't handle it, I couldn't stream anything. I had such bad luck with the Wii, routers, etc and still unable to stream that I was leery of any streaming product. I read the reviews and decided that for the price this was worth a shot. Setup was a breeze and it came pre-loaded with several streaming apps (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Sling TV, etc). I've only had one time that I couldn't stream and that a Netflix issue. Visiting family have used it to access their Amazon and Hulu accounts with no issues. I have used it to watch several You Tube videos with no problems. I've recommended it to several people, including a co-worker that travels a lot. She was very excited about the size and portability of the product. I did sync it up with my phone but primarily use the remote. There were some comments about the remote not working once the battery dies but so far no issues with the remote. I think this is an excellent product and a good value. I wanted to stream Netflix and it does that and more, like a champ!

This is my fourth Roku device. Not because they break but because I like them so much I keep adding them to all my TV's. The stick models are my favorite because of their portability and versatility. I have 3 stick models, all work great and I would not hesitate to buy them again in the future. I also own Apple TV along with my cable DVR boxes. Having all these devices makes for unlimited viewing options. There is overlap on some but it's nice to have in case of an outage with one system which is rare but can happen. Highly recommend the Roku devices and I will buy more when needed!

Pretty happy with this. I wanted a portable equivalent to my Xbox video apps and this does it. So long as the TV or monitor has an HDMI port this works with it. Setup is fast and secure. The remote isn't as fast as a keyboard obviously but all things considered is very easy to use. Simple to add new apps although I imagine most people will want it for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, VUDU etc. Highly recommended.

I bought this for a small LED TV so that I could watch content in any room or even outside. Quality of picture is great. No issues. Easy to set up and use.

This is my fourth Roku device and easiest to set up. I use it in my home office .. Plugs into a HDMI port and can be powered by plugging it into a wall outlet or the USB port in your TV. Since I have other devices, the home setup was easy and it seemed to link with some of my other apps. I didn't have to re-list my stations in Pandora as it remembered them. Good product that met my streaming needs.

I wish I would have bought one sooner. It is quick, simple and extremely reliable. I love that the remote is not line of sight and just simply works.

Fast setup and easy navigation. Always on and available, never have to reboot. Streaming is fast and quality is good. Great addition for a bedroom TV

I purchased this to replace an older model streaming stick that was ruined after I took it on a trip. While I had heard that this newer model was a big jump up from the older stick I was really amazed by how much better it is. The form factor is similar, but the black finish blends into the background of the TV easier than the old purple one. More importantly the performance is in a whole new league. In fact I decided to use this stick to replace a Roku 2 I was using and moved the box to the garage where I had originally intended the stick to go. Everything loads faster and with the remote not needing line of sight to the stick it is much more convenient to operate. Overall I couldn't be happier with the purchase and would happily recommend it to anyone.

Great product! Saved me a unit box with service provider and will pay for itself. Easy setup and mobile when we leave out of town used elsewhere.

I recently cancelled my cable, which was $300 a month. Needed to save money, so I switched to internet only in my home. I still needed something to keep the wife and kids happy because the Smart Tv did not have enough online channels. I bought the Roku from Best Buy, used my $10 rewards credit for being a regular customer, so I paid around $50 or so. I am extremely satisfied. The Roku is better than cable. I spend about $20 a month for the subscriptions (Netflix, Amazon, etc). You can also pay to build your own cable packages for around $25 and up. If you cannot afford the subscription channels, there are many free channels as well. The family is once again happy and I save over $200 per month. #WINNING Thanks Roku! Mr. Dad

I own this and the Roku Ultra. I have it plugged into a Samsung HDTV and the picture is great. I have not had an issue streaming shows.

The roku works great, the setup was easy and the price was very reasonable. I have two other Roku models and they all work very well. Assistance from Roku in the past has been excellent

I first bought this for an Insignia TV that was on sale. It wasn't a ROKU Insignia like my 4k Insigna TV and didn't know if I wanted to get it. The salesperson told me it would be just as good and she wasn't kidding! I hooked it up and it downloaded all my Roku Channels that I had on the other TV and it play in 1080. It was so good, that I bought one for my son's TV to use DirecTV Now. It is a great purchase.

The Roku Streaming Stick (2016) is a terrific product and does everything I hoped it would do. I simply plugged it into an HDMI port and powered it off of USB with the included cable. The setup was straight forward, the performance is great, and I've had no problems with it. I had been considering Roku for quite a while, but delayed the purchase, because I was already using my BluRay player for Netflix and YouTube. Then, recently I signed up for Amazon Prime and needed a way to watch Amazon Videos. Fortunately, the Roku Streaming Stick (2016) came out this year with a powerful processor and a great price, so the decision to buy was easy and I'm very satisfied with the product.

So..I was in the market to get a new tv, preferably a smart TV, but after browsing for some time, it was a bit too far from my budget. My own tv was still working great, problem was it was an older version, so it didn't have the capability to connect to internet or stream. That was when I stumbled upon streaming devices. I saw so many great reviews on Roku Streaming Stick, so I thought I would give it a try. First off, it was super affordable, if I had to get a smart tv, it would put me back a few hundred dollars as compared to fifty bucks or so. I gave it a go and let's just say, it's life changing. So amazed such a small and simple device can bring a who,e new life to my tv. Basically turning my tv into a smart TV. I love he slick simple design, the ease of installing, literally set up an account and plug the streaming stick into your tv, simple, no hassle. I can watch so much, I love that it has a remote as well, very convenient, but you can also download the app to control from your phone or tablet, super awesome. Honestly, give it a try, doesn't hurt at all. I've been using it for almost a year now, and it's been a smooth sail, love it. I'm so glad I gave it a go.

I hesitated to purchase this product wondering if it would work with my internet. After talking to the Best Buy representative, he assured me I would be fine. This works great! I have not had any issues with streaming, product set up was easy and it is small so it is basically hidden from view (my USB input is on the back of my television).

I LOVE my Roku. I had Chromecast previously (which I still use for my bedroom tv) but I now use Roku in my living room. It's great having a remote so I can pause and start all of my shows. I also like all the app options. The movie store is also a plus. I like that I can rent or buy movies through my Roku. And I can take my Roku anywhere!

I find the Roku very user friendly, from set up to stream televised programs. I actually like it better than Fire Stick.

This was super easy to set up and get connected to my streaming accounts. The steaming quality is good. I have had no problems with it and it works better than the built in smart apps on my television. With free content available it would be worthwhile to consider getting rid of Netflix if you want to save a few bucks a month.

never had a simpler product. plugged it into my TV and also used my TV's USB drive to power the little guy. (using less overall power) super simple! the great thing about it is that you dont need to point the remote to the TV to use it. cheap & simple! no real need to upgrade unless your an extreme quality nerd and NEED 4K.
