Use them for everything. I like them better than Apple TV. Used them to replace cable boxes. Well worth it.

I love the world this opened up to me! Super easy to use with the remote, and what could be easier to install than popping in a flash drive on the TV?!. Once i finally located my TV remote (as opposed to my Charter Cable remote) and could switch Input to HDMI1, everything worked immediately and like a dream. I'm retired and have become a little tech-anxious, but I guess this shows old dogs can learn new tricks. Haven't disengaged from cable TV yet and not sure I will, but fun to enjoy amazon and netflix and some other things on full screen and not just on my iPad.

Because Roku does not have an "app store" or "media library", they don't lock you into one company's ecosystem. All the major players are on there (Netflix, Amazon, Google, and Sling). They focus on the streaming and interface experience and do an extremely good job. Bought one for myself and after seeing how easy and useful it was, bought one for my retirement age parents. They love it too! Only wish is that it would contain support for Apple AirPlay.

i wish the remote had number buttons you can punch in instead of having to go through a list of channels but otherwise really like it and that i can take it wherever i go as long as have wifi

Connected this thru WiFi when the router is on the other side of the house. Still connected without any issues to Netflix, HBO, etc.

The Roku streaming stick is a great streaming device. It is just as fast as the Roku 2 and 3 from the past, and it is pretty cheap. The only downside is that there is no ethernet port. However, the wireless works very well, and it has more applications compared to the Amazon Fire and Apple TV. If you want to stream channels or something like Sling, the Roku is the best all-around streaming device, and the Roku streaming stick is the best value.

Has not freezed up since we have had it. 2 months. We had a Roku in the past and he freezed up all the time

So far I'm loving the Roku Streaming Stick. Lots of great channels are available, including the many private channels out there. The device is well-hidden behind my tv, and it runs pretty quickly. It does temporarily freeze up from time to time, but backing out of the channel seems to fix that. The most tedious part is setting up the access to all the channels like Watch ESPN, NBC, etc. It's just time consuming, but the process itself is easy.

Recently I bought a Roku Stick at Best Buy. I had used an older model Roku because I did not have HDMI. When I bought a t.v. with HDMI I immediately bought the Roku stick. It is the world of difference in ease of use and in connecting without any problems. I highly recommend Roku in general and the Roku stick in particular. I have not used it in other locations but that option is available. I like that the Roku stick can travel with me.

Great,faster then my older one and cost less. Being on sale help also. Works well with app on my phone also.

Have been trying to find a way to watch Netflix on my TV without having to buy a smart tv or Blueray player and this fit the bill. Now I can watch my shows and still be on the PC.

Very easy to install! Setup was simple. Streaming is very smooth. No buffering issues with this stick.

Roku stick really to use and install. I have the Roku 3 and I like the remote on this one much better.

Roku streaming stick was easy to setup. it was easy to add apps to it & has a great selection to pick from.

Got this to watch on the go. It is small and easy to carry in your suitcase and is simple to hook up.

I had an Amazon fire tv stick which broke. the amazon stick is geared toward Amazon and even access to the app store is the Amazon app store and not the Android app store. The Roku is easier to use has a more user friendly phone app. Is more responsive (less lag) and has built in device mirroring where the Amazon stick you need a third party app. Uploading some extras do require that you use the phone app, but is is so user friendly vs the Amazon app.
