I ordered this new stick after having the older 2014 version of the roku stick. I like how all the new Roku devices have the private listening mode by connecting to the Roku mobile app. This stick is much faster and the wifi connection is much better. I have 2 Roku sticks, a Roku 3 and a Roku TV outside. I've been a Roku customer since '14 and once I get a 4K TV, I'll upgrade my Roku 3 to the Ultra. Great, easy to use devices!

Our TVs are Sharp smart TVs, but we don't use their built-in connectivity except to upgrade the TV. The flexibility of Roku to add our favorite channels (Netflix, Acorn, Hulu, PBS and Cinema Now) is the best way to stream. Plugs into a HDMI port and the USB power cord plugs into the USB port of the TV. Easy as pie. And, I'm 60 years old. We cut the cord years ago to cable (except for internet) and satellite and don't miss a thing!

I have been complaining about my cable bill for some time now. After reading more reviews than I want to admit to on most of the streaming options out there, I choose the Roku Streaming Stick. I couldn't be happier with my decision. Set up was simple, connects fast every time, and there are plenty of streaming apps out there that allow us to watch all our favorite shows. Sorry cable TV, but I called today and cut your cord.

Wanted to try Roku since I dont have a cable box in my room. Works really well. I can see most of the cable channels through roku that I can see using the cable box. Love it!

Roku is very user friendly and the remote makes controlling Netflix and apps very simple. Great value

Bought this to use with living room tv and Sling. Have a version 3 Roku in my bedroom. Landlord would not let me upgrade Comcast to be serviceable and this is a decent substitute. With basic Sling and Lifestyle add-on I have most of my favorite programs. So far the unit is working great and was easy to install. Drawback over cable is that I can only stream one device at a time so I can't work between rooms like I could with cable.

The ROKU is very easy to use and makes accessing apps on my television much easier. Time Warner Cable / Spectrum app was very slow on my Samsung tv. THE ROKU IS MUCH BETTER.

I owe a Roku 2 and it is an awesome product. I recently decided to buy a stream device to take with me when I travel and I decided to stick to the brand I know. I have no regrets. It is small which makes it easy to travel with. I had no difficulties connecting it with the hotel's wifi, even though it can be a little difficult after 24 hours but not difficult that I wanted to throw it against the wall. Once connected, I had no problems.

I'm glad I bought this. We had grown intolerant of advertisements and found most television programs not worth our time. Roku was a good way for us to use our tv without having cable. We plug ROKU into the back of our XBOX so that we do not have to change inputs on the tv. We already had Netflix and Amazon Prime. We will order HBO when Game of Thrones comes out next summer. It makes watching a movie nicer than using our computer.

Found the Roku to give a better picture quality than the Amazon Fire Stick. Easy interface to use.

This device is awesome. Small and compact. Very quick and smooth operation. Plugs right into my hdmi slot and is powered via USB port on the tv.

Just get this one... or google the cnet review where there is a TLDR of basically just buy this one. Picked over Chromecast and FireTV due to having the best of all worlds.

I bought a Roku streaming stick because there was a specific app that I wanted that was not available on my Amazon Fire stick. The Roku stick is easy to use and provides access to tons of applications, many with free content. One problem I seem to have is that when I move from one network to another I have to re-enter the network information. This is the only thing I have found that is a negative with the Roku stick. Having to re-renter the network password is annoying and I move around a lot so I have to do it at least once a week.

Setup was a snap. Great picture and audio quality. Good free channels. Well worth the money.

I saw this one day when i bought a tablet cause my Directv remote crapped out. I only bought it as a present for some fella that looked like he needed it on his 1080p tv.

Great search feature that isn't biased toward any specific channels or apps. Very easy to set up. The more you watch, the more recommendations it shows you-very helpful when you're used to picking what to watch by scrolling through the cable guide! My only complaint/problem is that the remote has lost pairing with the stick twice already in the first month I've had it. It isn't hard to fix, but an inconvenience nonetheless.

I purchased the Roku Stick for my garage television. Works great, no problem with receiving the WiFi signal and its nice to not have to transfer a box to that television

The Roku is an easy to use product that plugs right into my TV's HDMI port and allows me to watch my cable (comcast) without getting an additional cable box. Roku is the only product that I was able to find that that allows you to watch comcast (comcast has a monopoly in my neighborhood). From my research Roku has the only beta app that will work with comcast. The only suggestion I have is for the remote keys to light up.
