i love the fact that i can watch whatever i find interesting when i have the time to watch tv without having to wait for certain hours neither any particular days, i can also stop watching and come back any time and pick up where i left. its very useful for somebody like me, i get home by mid night every day i dont realy have time to watch tv during the day time. i know i have to pay a little fee in order to watch any show that arent on the for free list but its ok. between netflix and hulu combined i only expend around 20 dolars tops, its way below half of what cable or satelite companies charge.

I upgraded to this 3rd gen Roku Stick from a 2nd gen Roku stick and the experience has been well worth it. This new Roku Stick is measurably faster and more responsive than last gen. All of the apps are definitely faster, and the Amazon app has an improved and more robust interface. Combined with Roku's moble app, I still agree with professional reviewers that the Roku experience is better than Chromecast, Amazon Firestick, and AppleTV. And, because I am not locked in to any single technology solution, I have more flexibility. I have access to all of my content on my Roku, my Mac laptops and my Windows PC. The primary apps I use are Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, VUDU, YouTube, Plex, and SlingTV. Using Plex on Roku and a Plex media server on my computer I can easily share my iTunes library, and using Roku's mobile app I can share videos, music, and photos from my iPhone. I was initially a little skeptical about my purchase, but it was on sale and I used a BestBuy reward certificate, and have been very happy with my purchase. The best part is that I save $1,200 each year by reducing my cable service to internet only.

Much faster than any previous Roku I've used, and it works with the Roku App for my iOS iPhone which gives me the ability to watch and listen through my headphones without interrupting my darling's beauty rest. Picture is clear, and the remote is fast and user friendly. No complaints. 100% awesome, 0% shoulda-coulda-woulda.

Works well. Sometimes is a bit slow buffering, but could just be the wifi. Great picture and easy to use. Missing a few apps that competitors have, but overall good product

I had thought about getting a smart tv , then i read about the roku stick. It's very easy to install , and i now stream netflix and amazon on my 48 inch hi def tv. This is the third roku stick i've bought , two for my tv's and one for my dsughter's . Great product, and is an inexpensive alternative to a smart tv

this is my third streaming stick. all is great with all the products, but I missed out on the new remote with tv power and vol control. this sounds great so using two remotes is a pain. the only neg is the Roku support. there is no live chat and trying to go thru the web support doesn't work, just ends up in a loop. no way to ask simple question. the product is A+ but support is C-. I would still recommend this product but make sure to get the 2017 version and not 2016 product. 2017 has the new remote. Roku should make the remote a product available for purchase as standalone item.

I love this Roku streaming stick so far, even more than an older Roku I had for over a year now. The ease of use is handy...very easy to add channels and favorites. It plugs into an HDMI port like Chromecast does, and comes on immediately. So many channels to pick from, both free and fee based, but I like free!

This made my television a smart TV. It was easy to set up and has a great selection of apps to choose from. I had purchased a Chromecast first, but returned that and bought the Roku instead. I am so glad I did. The remote control is an awesome feature, unlike the chromecast which you needed to run from a device.

Works great. Easy to setup and easy to use. Good price too. Don't have to spend $200 on overrated Apple TV.

Roku is the standard to which I judge all technology. When you create a device that is this easy to install, and so ridiculously easy to operate, at an excellent price, you have a winning combination. Some people at some larger tech firms, I won't mention any names, but glass openings on a house, a fruit company, or a sci-fi mechanical robot(use a little of your cerebral cortex) could take a lesson from probably a less pricey set of engineers at Roku who have designed a product that a person who is 2 or 92 can operate easily. And with thousands of channels, many free, some pay, yet reasonably priced, Roku has established itself as the leader in providing program providers and end users with an incredible world of entertainment at your fingertips, much of which you can find nowhere else. I have many roku devices and this device works great as do all of them.

I like Roku streaming stick because I can use netflix,hbo, youtube and other apps straight in the tv. No need to use your phone to cast content (although you can) I exchanged this from the roku express, and I noticed the difference about speed and connectivity. Maybe the remote is not the best because you would have to type in each letter when you are trying to find something in netflix for example. Other than that it is a good streaming device.

I have been an Apple TV supporter for many years. I have two. The Roku is so intuitive, so powerful, and has me 1 step closer to cutting cable for good.

The Roku stick I bought was the 2015 model is the newer one which is speedier, smaller, and runs cooler than the previous stick. I also have Apple TV, but Roku is a much more open system, that Apple does not allow so any apps that Roku does. Nice remote, and can even pair headphones through their excellent app.

Great little streamer. The updated internals really make this little guy fly. It's easily as fast as my Roku 3 that we use in the kids toy room. It's small and I just run the power from the TV's USB port, it includes an option to plug into the wall, but it boots fast enough from USB that Im not concerned.

We've had the Roku for over a month now - we spend more time with it than we do with our cable box. The idea was to see how streaming worked for us and eventually get rid of cable. Now that the Olympics are over - with disappointing coverage - it's time to break the habit and turn that cable box in.The stick was easy to deploy and the remote works perfectly.

The Roku stick is easy to use and easy to manage. I buy this for my mom and in less than a week she manage to understand the software and even falling in love. I really like the product because the easy way to use it and the great performance it bring and especially for that great price you can't go wrong.

The Roku streaming stick is easy to install, easy to use. We got rid of our ridiculously expensive satellite system (600 channels, with only ten or so with programming we liked), went to Roku and an antennae. We subscribe to Netflix, Hulu and CBS. Total of about $30 a month compared to $125 for DTV. We have Amazon Prime because we hate to shop, but there's really not much on Prime we watch, so we wouldn't subscribe just for the videos.

Great product. So much more to offer than a smart tv and so much less expensive! Also it is easy to set up and use. I purchased a 2015 roku which did not work but returned it to the store within the required days for the 2016 model. The customer service was fantastic. They swapped it without any question.

We are using Roku sticks on 3 different TVs throughout the house and they work flawlessly. You will need to setup each separately. We also have 100 Mbps wireless internet and ONLY are streaming. We have used Roku 4 in the past but the stick allows a hidden Roku behind the TV. Love the Roku stick!
