Using on a TV that there is no cable jack in the kitchen. The stick plugs right into the HDMI slot and has a power cable that can either be plugged into the wall via an adapter or ran to the TV's USB slot. I ordered the HDMI extender that is offered when opening the package to hopefully slim down my TV's foot print since I only have HDMI slots on the back of it.

My whole point to getting a ROKU was so stream Playstation Vue. It doesn't state that on the item description of the box, but it does, you just download the channel. Had to get use to the way ROKU displays Vue as icons on the channel, whereas there is actually a menu guide if stream through the playstation. Also able to view netflix, Youtube, sling TV, and Amazon TV.

The Roku streams video from services like Amazon, Vudu, Netflix, etc., so that you can watch them on your TV without having to hook up your computer. Installation is really simple (if your TV has a USB port, the Roku can use it for power) and configuration is pretty straightforward. Using the remote to enter user names and passwords for your online services is a bit annoying, but it only has to be done once for each service (and your home Wi-Fi). After that, it just works.

I've had nearly every iteration of Roku devices since they've launched (except the 4) and in my experience, this might be the best one they've released. The performance is absolutely great (especially if you compare to the first generation stick, which was not good in this regard), wifi connection is rock solid, and the portability makes it useful in any number of situations.

I've been a fan of Roku since the beginning. I got my first product in 2011 and only replaced it because it was outdated, couldn't change Netflix profiles. The Roku stick is slightly better than a regular Roku box in that it takes up less space. It doesn't really advertise on the box, but the stick does have to be plugged into a USB power source on the TV to work.

Easy to set up, and easy to use. Appreciate how little space it needs.

The Roku Streaming Stick is easy to install and works great for apps such as Netflix & Amazon Prime Videos. The additional free apps are numerous and fun. Apps such as the tv news programs from all over the country allow you to see news that isn't broadcast on local tv. Network apps such as NBC cab accessed through an internet provider when cable tv is unavailable.

Like that it is compact and mobile. Use on different tvs in the house.

Great streaming of netflix, hulu, and plex, many other apps which you don't find on PS3 or other smart tvs that are non-boku brand. You can easily take this on the road with you or move to a different less-used tv. Usb powered on most tvs, but the cord is a bit long. Comes with USB power adapter but if you don't use it, it's useful for charging your phone, etc.

Highly recommend this product if you have an outdated Smart TV or you don't have a smart TV and want to connect the product without wires. This product makes it easy to install on a wall mounted HDTV that already has wires in the wall. You can connect the power via USB in the TV. It also provides Amazon Prime Video which is not available on the Google Chromecast 2.

I have a Google Chromecast, but wasn't able to stream Amazon Prime Video. Plus, Roku has the apps instead of me having to install each individually on my mobile device. All the video apps I want are in one place. No complaints at all. I've bought three for my TVs and one as a gift.

Wow. Decided to "cut the cord"with cable and try a Roku. Couldn't be happier. Roku is super quick and easy to set up and gives you a wide variety of viewing choices. There is something for everyone. You can watch plenty of TV at no extra charge, or buy movies, or subscribe to packages from Sling, Hulu, Netflix and more. More TV for a lot less money per month.

Bought it for a second home as paying for TV each month, when we are only there a few days or a week out of the month. Really easy to set up. I'm not super techy, but can follow any well written directions. We use it with a Netflix account, enjoy watching the shows that roku offers, and connecting to Pandora.

I love it, I love it, I love it. I tried the Amazon Fire Stick and I was not please with it at all and returned it to Best Buy. One of the sales associate recommended the Roku and that was over a year ago. Then I broke the stick but I had an extended warranty on it and Best Buy replaced. When I broke it I felt like I was having withdrawal from not being able to watch it.

Samsung delivers a great picture with more Apps than I'll ever need!

Easy to use. Has the same selections as Apple TV and less expensive.
