I ditched cable and have smart televisions in kitchen and den. I thought I had to buy smart televisions for the bedrooms, office and weight room. I saw the roku stick in a Best Buy ad and decided to try it. Loved it. Unfortunately, while I was at work my son tried the Roku stick and he loved. The next weekend I purchased another stick.

Set up was fairly simple and picture quality/ speed was good.

Bought this to smarten up a tv in my workshop. After seeing how many additional free streaming channels I get, I'd like to buy a couple more for the rest of the house. The Roku stick works really well and was relatively easy to set up. Once set up it has been trouble free and easy to use. For the price it's a great value.

the roku stick works great. the setup is very easy and the roku itself is very easy to use. the interface is user friendly and should be easy for anyone to use and get around the menus. i mainly use it for my sling tv, hulu, and netflix apps. i ended up buying a roku express for my bedroom. roku makes great products all around.

This stick is very easy to use, you just plug it into an hdmi port, log onto your WiFi and it walks you through the rest. Roko gives you the latest versions of hundreds of channels both free, and subscription. If you're looking to cut the cable cord, or want access to thousands of movies, documentaries, and TV shows, the Roko stick is for you.

We cut the cord a few months ago and got this and has been great. We have a lot of options. There is something for everyone.

While the set-up was easy, navigating the menu was a little less intuitive. I'm still trying to figure out how to find what I want. Since searching is integral to the service, the remote is just okay, but I can compensate using my phone. I thought it would be more like Chromecast (clearly I didn't research very in depth), but this turns out to be even better.

I can get all my favorite shows on my Roku in the same quality of picture if not better than cable or satellite and for a lot cheaper! My kids get a variety of shows that are not offered on cable and they love the variety they are able to watch. We started out with one Roku Express stick and I will be purchasing more for bedroom tv's.

We've been thinking of cutting the cable cord for a while now or at the very least ditching the premium services. The Roku Stick makes the decision easy. Hundreds of free streaming services and if we want we can buy almost anything we want to view. Simple to use and the portability makes it great for travel. Not sure what took us so long.

I had the 2014 model before upgrading to the 2016 model and can easily say that the newer model is faster to load and more responsive than the older Roku Stick. The 3600 is comparable to the Roku 3 in terms of speed and handling but lacks a wired connection and memory card slot.

Setup is easy as long as your tv has an open HDMI and USB port.

I had the original Roku stick and decided to upgrade after hearing about the improved performance. The new stock is faster than the old, and having the ability to plug into a USB port for power instead of an outlet is nice to hide wires. The one knock is the remote is still slow to respond, but if you just use the app on your phone it's quite responsive and very easy to use. For $50 you can't go wrong purchasing this for streaming!

This was very simple to install and use. I can switch it easily back and forth from different televisions in the house, also. There was a little trickiness when I didn't understand that I needed to have the power adapter plugged in on one of the television sets. The install instructions said it was "optional" to use the wall plug in. It seems that perhaps some TV's generate more power to the Roku device than others. Overall, easy to use.

I have an older tv that works fine but not a smart tv. This Roku upgraded my tv at a fraction of the cost of a new smart tv.

Remember when Apple used to tout that their products "just work?" After having several problems with my older generation Apple TV crashing several times during Hulu, Netflix, and HBO GO to name a few I decided that there is no reason I should give $150 to Apple for a new Apple TV just to have it (probably) crash all the time to the point where it is unusable. Why do I tell you all this? I currently have an iPhone, Macbook Pro, and an iPad. I am heavily invested in Apple, but am getting by just fine now that I have moved my TV streaming to Roku. Unless you are buying movies through iTunes or are heavily using the "strictly Apple" features on the Apple TV, the Roku is a MUST BUY over the Apple TV. It is so much better. It boots up quickly, apps load relatively fast, AND IT JUST WORKS. It also seems to handle buffering well leading to less interruptions for slower connections and the fast forward and rewind features resume playing your video quickly. With other devices, you rewind, then have to wait a long time before the video resumes. This is not the case most of the time with my Roku. Roku also supports all the major apps you want (and probably the more obscure ones too). Oh, and it's much cheaper than the Apple TV.

works perfectly, even the hdmi input is in the back of the TV, the remote works without any problem.
