Remember when Apple used to tout that their products "just work?" After having several problems with my older generation Apple TV crashing several times during Hulu, Netflix, and HBO GO to name a few I decided that there is no reason I should give $150 to Apple for a new Apple TV just to have it (probably) crash all the time to the point where it is unusable. Why do I tell you all this? I currently have an iPhone, Macbook Pro, and an iPad. I am heavily invested in Apple, but am getting by just fine now that I have moved my TV streaming to Roku. Unless you are buying movies through iTunes or are heavily using the "strictly Apple" features on the Apple TV, the Roku is a MUST BUY over the Apple TV. It is so much better. It boots up quickly, apps load relatively fast, AND IT JUST WORKS. It also seems to handle buffering well leading to less interruptions for slower connections and the fast forward and rewind features resume playing your video quickly. With other devices, you rewind, then have to wait a long time before the video resumes. This is not the case most of the time with my Roku. Roku also supports all the major apps you want (and probably the more obscure ones too). Oh, and it's much cheaper than the Apple TV.

I’m really enjoying the Roku stick, it streams my videos really fast, plus I love all the extra channels that come with it.

Good product and easy to set up. It is a pity they do not include the short flexible extension cable in the box though as many TVs including ours has all the input ports in a recess which means it is impossible to fit the Roku without the cable. Had to send off for it (it is free) but the links in the documentation and even on the website are wrong.

I have spent some time researching a product to replace my cable costs. And I think I made a great choice, and confident that all of my favorite networks will be available.

I have really enjoyed the Roku streaming stick. It has been very convenient to use and setup was extremely easy. I like it for use when hanging a TV and the TV is not a smart TV. It makes it really nice. I like that is can be powered via a USB port on the TV. Don't have to worry about a plug being within reach or needing a power adapter.

Super fast , easy to connect and excellent apps I'm recommend

We now have 3 Of these streaming sticks due to their performance. Response is quick on initial TV turn on; love the many streaming options available; great flexibility to rearrange options; add/delete; etc. Use both the included remote, but like the iPhone Roku App option for remote. With the App you can bring up a keyboard for search functions.

I have an Apple TV but purchased the 2016 Roku stick on sale. Soon happy with it. Very easy to install. Netflix AND Amazon Video pre-installed. Since I have Amazon Prime I was annoyed to stream video from my phone to tv since Apple TV has no Amazon app on it. Now I just switch between the two when I want my Apple compatibles and my Amazon Prime.

Love the Roku Streaming Stick. We are over sixty years old and always hesitant about buying a new device. The Roku Streaming Stick is very very easy to set up. The amount of free movies that you can see with Roku is way more than what we expected. TV shows and news programs are also wonderfully available and free. So glad we made this purchase!

I already owned an Apple TV which I have really enjoyed, but I didn't necessarily want to pay that price for a tv that is only used when we are on the treadmill downstairs. I bought the Roku and I haven't been disappointed. Has access to every app I use on my Apple TV, and the quality and user friendliness is great! A great product!

Easy to set up on a PC, but not easy on my phone and I recommend not trying with a phone. They offer a free HDMI cable to allow the stick to hang, I suggest getting and using it. I wish they included it in the box rather than making me request it and wait for the mail to arrive days later. Competitors include this cable in the box.

Work great, very easy to use. Cheaper then buying a smart tv.

Very happy with this purchase. I already had the previous version of the Roku stick and decided to upgrade to the 2016 model. It is noticeably faster when navigating around (i.e. scrolling through Netflix). I also notice less interruptions (via loading bar) when watching live sports. Glad I made the upgrade - I'd 100% do it again!

Very easy setup runs quite fast love all the apps as well.

Works great streaming movies also small so it is not bulky.
