Old Roku 2 unit from several years back finally quit so we researched this product on-line and went to the store to check it out and confirmed it would work with all our subscriptions. Excellent choice!! The stick was a lot easier and quicker to set up than the original unit. Highly recommend to anyone considering a streaming TV device.

It has a great selection of apps and very easy to use.

Works great, allows for sharing on from your device and all the apps you want like Netflix, cable a la carte, and easy to use.

The roku is the way to go to get rid of high price cable bills. I was pleasantly pleased with the channels and quality

This is my 3rd roku purchase. Takes time and patience to set up but well worth the effort. Initially purchased to get Netflix but you can use it to stream so much more.

I've been using an Amazon Fire Stick for awhile, but a nice Best Buy offer made me finally invest in this for a different TV in the house. The setup took longer than I expected - be prepared with your password etc. - but once I had it going, it worked with no problems. Recommend it as an alternative to the Amazon Fire Stick.

Easy to install, portable, Good streaming capacity. The free content however can be improved. Unless you have subscription like Netflix or Hulu Plus, quality options are limited (except very few like Youtube). The screen sharing does not work for me on Windows 10 PC. One very important thing is that if you stream online videos browsing random weblinks, then this won't help. In other words Roku will NOT be able to replace Chromecast.

We bought the streaming stick for use at our cabin so we could use it on multiple TV's. It was easy to set up and now we can just plug it in upstairs and downstairs when we want to watch Amazon and Netflix and other on demand content on demand on our older sets that are not smart TV's. Couldn't be easier and worth every penny!

We've had the standard Roki 1 device for almost 5 years now and have loved it. We've gotten it as a gift for all of our family over the years as well, with the same results. We recently moved and I somehow lost our remote, and unfortunately, the Roku remote app just didn't work very well so I had to buy a new one. Since buying ours years ago, so many versions have come out and to be honest, I don't really see much of a difference between most of them and was a bit confused as to which once we needed. We use the Roku in our bedroom as our main TV is a smart one so it already has all of the apps on the Roku. After not much research and deliberation, I decided a simple streaming stick might be the best since we don't use it everyday and really just want access to Netflix, Showtime, HBO, Amazon etc... I liked that the stick just plugged in and you didn't have extra cords and wires, plus the unit sitting out in plain sight. So far it's been great, with all of the right apps and perfect quality on our 32" HDTV. I would certainly recommend this over the actual device/units if you're just looking for basic apps and don't plan on using it all day every day.

I have a few Roku devices and they all work well. I’ve tried this one on a couple of different TVs and it definitely works best if you’re close to your wireless router.

The Roku Stick player was easy to install and the performance is quite snappy, but often it ignores the remote control for up to 30 seconds at a time. I will start watching something and then decide that I've seen enough, so I press the Home or Return button on the remote without any response for several seconds or longer. It's a bit frustrating since the player itself is quite speedy when selecting apps or navigating menus.

Previous used Blue Ray DVD player to access through switching module but this confused streaming supplier and had to reboot. The Streaming Stick allowed me to plug it directly into extra TV HDMI port and don't use switching terminal and now works perfect and faster with no rebooting. Much less expensive than a new DVD player also.

So easy to use, and so convenient to have. If your tv doesn't already have wifi capability, this is the way to go. It solved all of my issues, and worked perfectly. The remote might need to be replaced, eventually, but I got at least a full year out of mine before I had to replace it.

Easy installation and set-up. Pulled it out of the box and installed in less than 5 minutes. Simple instructions. entered my passwords to my selected TV stations and was ready to go. Very inexpensive and simple to use. Best Buy personnel recommended this particular model and I'm very pleased. I would recommend this to a friend.
