I have the older Roku stick also (Model 3500, purple), and this new device (the 3600, black) is noticeably faster. I have no issues at all with the remote...many reviews online complain of problems with the remote and it won't stay connected. Those reviews are mainly from the first half of 2016, I think Roku has fixed the issue.

I have a roku 3 and now the new roku stick(2016). I am very impressed with the roku products and the stick works. I have it attached to a samsung TV hd 1080p and works very well, great picture while streaming netflix. I recently moved it to a 10 yr old 1080i plasma tv, and while the picture is not perfect, it is still compatible.

Easy setup super fast and gives you everything you need.

I bought this ROKU with the understanding that it would replace my expensive cable because I can pick and choose channels I want to watch. Apparently, some of those channels force you to login to your cable company's website to verify you have that channel in your cable service line-up to be able to watch it through the ROKU. There are still plenty of other free channels but if you're looking to watch Investigation Discovery, FX, or any of the show channels, this isn't the purchase for you.

The Roku was very easy to connect with my Internet. Thank you sweetie a lot of options movies and TV shows. Our use Netflix and Amazon video. I have no problem going between the two. The price of the Roku was very reasonable. This song always in to buy a more expensive item. I would have a recommend this product.

I have heard of various so called "streaming sticks" and out of the top dogs, I have decided to get the Roku streaming stick for my girlfriend. We opted out of Apple for obvious reasons(high price), and did not go for the amazon firestick, google chromestick, or the like. Out of the box the Roku stick does not require an hdmi cable as it is connected to your HDTV via HDMI plug itself. Overall great item for your money.

I now own four different streaming devices. This unit is faster than an Amazon Fire TV Stick. Feels more responsive. Got it on sale for $$39 at BestBuy. Apparently this Roku Streaming Stick includes a quad processor and runs on wi-fi, so you don't have to point the remote at the TV, like you do with an infrared device like the Roku Express Plus, which I got from BestBuy online for $35. That device is slower, but it's the only streaming media player on the market that I know of that includes composite video out for older TVs that don't have an HDMI input. My favorite device of the four I own is the Amazon Fire TV, which differs from the Roku Streaming Stick in that if I fast forward or rewind, the Amazon Fire TV lets me see what's at the prospective location I would be forwarding to. The Streaming Stick only shows the starting point screen and a numeric indication of how many minutes forward or backwards I would be going once I hit Play again. But the AFTV is $89.99; this is 50 bucks cheaper. All the same, all these devices are a relief from the recurring monthly costs of renting cable boxes. Free at last!

We have 3 TVs and purchased one of these for each TV. We love it. It yields lots of channel options, great programming thru it. It was easy to hook up, and you have the option of moving it from one TV to another instead of having one for each TV. The menus are nice - easy to use and easy to read. Works for us, very happy!

I love having this. It was recommended to me by my best friend. I mainly use it to watch Netflix and YouTube videos.

I was very tired of paying the high cost for Cable TV and bought a Roku. While I do not get a ton of channels I have found that the ones I do get are enough for me. There is a transition that one has to go through but is is worth it. Since purchasing one I now have three Rokus. I will be taking one with me when I travel to our winter room in Arizona where I am sure I will be able to get rid of cable TV there.

Very easy to use. I got for my mom as a Christmas gift and set it all up for her. She is not the most tech savvy person out there. I even removed a lot of the apps to make it as simple as possible. She was still able to figure it out and find some additional apps on her own. If you know my mom that's a big deal for usability.

Went to Fry's to get a TV they weren't very helpful went to Best Buy and they match price and it was great service

I know some friends who have the OLD streaming stick & are not really satisfied with them so when I read about the NEW sticks I thought I'd give it a try. I also have two Roku-3's & this stick seems at least as fast as them but lacking the USB port & micro sd slot but at about HALF the cost! Very well worth the money for this product.
