Not a cable person so streaming is a nice add-on. The unit is very small and inconspicuous. Finding and searching has worked very well. Remote works on Wi-Fi so you don't have to aim it at the TV. This is an important difference between the stick and other models of Roku. One important note which is only found on the question and answer trouble shooting area of the Roku site: If you have an A/V receiver or pre-amp with HDMI inputs and are running a surround sound system, the Roku stick should be plugged into one of those HDMI inputs, NOT into the TV's HDMI input like they show in the ads and their web sight. If you plug it into the TV, the sound will only be able to come form your TV, not your surround system. Took me a while to figure that out. The Roku decodes sound using Dolby D+. Works fine on my 5.1 system.

This is a good product for what it is; consolidating your viewing platforms. Also search from one location across all platforms signed into; one search engine for Netflix, Hulu and HBO Now, for instance. The remote is junk though. The remote kept losing sync even though batteries were good. Would have to start the setup process over once a day at least. Eventually downloaded a generic remote on my phone. It’s too bad; the remote is easier for text entry.

Works perfectly, lots of great apps, remote is extremely convenient. If you have TWC and want to eliminate need for cable boxes, this is a must have as there is a TWC app that gives you wifi access to all of your cable channels. Extremely pleased!

Easy set up ,affordable. Will purchase another for my guest room.

I needed a steaming device for the kitchen TV, which is pretty small. For the price and the fact that it takes up 0 space this stick is exactly what I needed. It is easy to set up and even easier to use. Its a Roku box in miniature form.

This is my third ROKU device. I boght one so long ago it became mostly useless because of all the updates by the streaming companies, device still works good on about a third of channels and other non streaming functions. This was so nice I bought a second one to give my brother for Christmas. Set up is so easy compared to other streaming devices.

We currently had a i tv and a nintendo wii and were having problems with both so we decided to find something new. The Roku had the best range of apps and works great! It is much faster than both of the old devices and easy to set up.

I have three of these - one in my primary home and two in a vacation home. The two in the vacation property are awesome. Super easy setup and use and I am not even remotely technical. The one in my primary home also works great except for the app for my cable company (spectrum). It won't work. Hoping it's because the house is bigger than the vacation house (where the same cable app works great) and maybe the room it's in doesn't have strong enough wifi. Roku stick comes with an option to send away for a free dongle that helps when wifi isn't strong enough. Have sent for it and hoping it helps. Despite this issue I love this product. It's so easy to setup and use. Love the direct buttons on the remote that take you right to Netflix and amazon prime so I don't have to go through a menu.

Roku is the best streaming device on the market! I've had a Roku device for years and decided that I wanted to get a stick because they're cheaper and more portable. I originally got an Amazon Fire Stick, which was on sale for a great price, but I returned it because it wasn't as good as Roku. First, the Amazon Fire stick doesn't have Google Play so you can't watch any movies or TV shows you've purchased on Google Play with it. It also lacked other features in Roku like the ability to overlay the radio feed while watching the TV feed in the MLB.tv app. I'm a big baseball fan and love listening to my team's radio announcer instead of the TV announcer while watching them play on the MLB.tv app. That feature was not available in Amazon Fire's MLB.tv app and the Roku version of the app was just better to navigate through the games as well. So I had to go back to Roku and got its streaming stick instead. I like also like the Roku stick over the normal device because it's about half the price or less and is more portable. You can use it on your laptop/computer and bring it with you to use on TVs when you travel, all without needing an HDMI cord! You can't go wrong with the Roku Streaming Stick. :)

Bought this as an alternative to Chromecast I already owned when I got rid of cable. It does everything you want and more. My only annoying (which my wife actually prefers, so it's user preference) is on PS Vue for our TV watching. Roku forces apps to follow the same layout so that the experience is consistent for users. This forced Playstation to remove their easy to use browsing guide, I find it difficult to see what's on in the future. I just use my iPad if I need to find something. Small preference complaint, that's all, otherwise this thing is great. I much prefer having a remote than having to use my iPad with Chromecast.

Great way to access online channels! Super easy to set up!

I purchased this last year for my tv after I got tired of repeating, "no, I do not have Netfix, no Hulu, no amazon, no cable," to my coworkers, friends and people in various passing conversations. I love my Roku stick. Mostly I use it to watch Netflix and also several CW shows since I can view them a few days after they originally air.

I had so far 3 media sticks, 2 of well known brands and another one with a strange Chinese name. As always I forgot to take any of them for a trip, so I gave a shot to this Roku stick and bought it. Setup was the easiest to do. Image quality pretty good (kind of same as others), and the point-anywhere remote is a great idea. Default features and channels are more than good enough for me. Audio great and responsibility stunning. Besides all of that, I tested the screen casting from my laptop with W10, and the remote audio option. With this, there is no doubt for me, that at the moment this is the best of the sticks I have.

This unit is as speedy as the roku 2 & 3, but much more compact. Having a good/great wifi speed probably a must because of the lack of ethernet port. I personally prefer having a tactile remote rather than having to use a phone or tablet to stream, so bonus points to the roku stick for that.

This is my third Roku. I have a Roku 3 in my main viewing room, a Roku 2 for my bedroom, and the stick (2016) in my den. The stick works good and setup was very easy. It only works wireless and streams pretty decent. It is located pretty far from my wireless access point. I like that it is portable.
