I have tried multiple smart TV platforms. The Apple TV remains my favorite device, but it should be at the prices Apple is asking for. For me, nothing will beat the Apple TV's simple interface and fluid performance due to using an older iPhone chip. It might be older, but it still beats out anything else on the market including the Nvidia Shield. I have one in my living room but wanted options for my other rooms without spending $500 on everything. I tried Amazon's 4K stick and it's too buggy. There's only 5.6GB of usable storage and apps quickly filled that up. I tried buying an external storage cable and using a fast thumb drive (also an SSD) and only 2-3 apps I downloaded supported it. Even then, they took way too long to open and load. I tried Google's solution as well. But it was way too slow during daily use. I'm not sure why Google put such a slow processor in it with only a few GB of storage, but it wasn't the experience I wanted it to be at $50. Enter the Roku Stick 4K. I decided to take a gamble with it due to the price, capabilities, and established ecosystem. I'm glad I took the plunge because I have enjoyed using my Roku Stick 4K so much that I bought two more. The Wi-Fi connection is solid. I have yet to experience something buffering unlike with Amazon's Fire TV 4K stick. Content often quickly loads in SD and jumps to HD/4K in a few seconds. This is likely due to the Wi-Fi being an external module through the Roku's power cable. I don't like that the Stick had micro USB, I would prefer USB-C. But that's fine since I'm not moving it around or needing to recharge it. The remote feels solid and picked up all my TVs without issues. The only issue I have is with my Denon receiver, the Roku remote can't control the volume on my receiver. But I set my receiver to enable passthrough so that it doesn't need to be on for my Roku to work with both audio and video being passed through to the TV (unless the Denon receiver is on). It's easy to add channels and there's ample storage for them. I have more channels downloaded than I did with both my Amazon and Google options and there's still plenty of space. HDR10 works well with my TVs, which all top out at HDR10. I would have gladly spent more for the top Roku option if I had Dolby Vision TVs. My only complaint is that the interface is definitely low resolution scaled up. It looks pixelated with muted colors. Everything else is fine, it's just the general interface. I think the images are compressed or the video stream is being compressed to help aid the onboard processor. But I don't really care about that so long as the video content looks fine (and it does). I highly recommend this to anyone wanting an easy to use, inexpensive, high quality streaming device with all the channels (apps) you could need.

The Roku streaming stick 4k works very well - easy setup & connection, intuitive use. Built-in AirPlay on the Roku makes streaming from the iPhone a breeze!

I am so happy I finally bought this roku. It's fantastic! It's easy to use. It was even easy to set up! All you do is plug it into the back of your TV and voila you have roku. I can now watch the Tigers on my TV on Bally Sports. I bought this because of the whole contract issue between Xfinity and Bally. It turns out it was a good thing because this Roku is pretty cool. and all I need to do is say Bally Sports into my voice control and it takes me right there.

Very nice product and easy to use. Still is sleek and compact with a very easy to understand setup. I love the addition of the voice command and volume controls on the remote for this model. Very satisfied.

I love this Roku remote. It was very easy to setup and use. I like the idea, that, I can use the remote to watch what's on the Roku streaming channels and use the same remote to turn on and off, my Roku and TV set. It was a great deal, at a great price.

Easy to use, picture's great. Remote recognized the tv right away, so it's nice to have just one remote to adjust volume and turn on/off the tv. Roku has all the apps we need and I can cast anything from my phone to the Roku. It's super convenient.

Ill keep this short . My in-laws had purchased a nee tv that is 4k capatable with this product and set up so seemless that my niece of 10 years hooked it up while i was at work . Note she neede account access but beside the point she got it plugged in and followed the prompts. Suoer fasr and easy . Future buyers just be sure you know what tv you have and make sure that any older tv’s with usb ports are able to support it . Oh and check the quality such as this product is for 4k tvs as it is marketed on the box

I have used the HDMI Roku devices for many years. I recently purchased a Roku Ultra for my LG OLED Smart TV. The first thing it did during the install was to upgrade my TV's settings to maximize the picture and sound qualities. the latest research shows that devices like the Roku will give much better and more reliable service than using the bulit in apps on the smart TV. They hold the WIFI and streaming signals much better without buffering and crashing which I experienced quite often without the Roku. It's well worth the extra cost.

We bought 4 Rokus for all our TVs (2 are smart & 2 are not). The remote is easy to use & we love all the options we now have for shows & much less expensive than our previous cable tv.

We had to replace an old Roku that tended to overheat. This one was simple to install, even uses the USB port on the tv for power. This allows it to remain completely hidden on back of tv, no wires showing. We don't use voice controls, used to just clicking on the remote, just like our old one.

Roku has been the best overall, I now like Google TV a little better. Roku has the best operating system for ease of use and quickness of apps opening and is less expensive sometimes by quite abit. Problem and reason for 4 stars are two things. There are two apps I use frequently not available on Roku, watching my DISH programming, and watching my HDHomeRun channels when away from home. That app (Called Channels) is also not on Roku. Second thing, Google TV is quick now too, and it also now has a setting for just showing apps. Google has any and every app I use and alot of storage capacity. Roku remote I think is much better. I do recommend the Roku overall if all the apps you use are on it.
