We use Roku’s on the TVs in our house and in our cars. The remotes are easy for our kids to use and understand.

Always like Roku products. Easy to set up and appreciate all the choices available, whether free or minimal fee.

If all you want is 2 ch stereo sound, then just plug it into an HDMI receptacle on the back of your TV, and you're good to go. However, if you are after 5.1 ch surround sound, your TV may not be able to pass this signal to your AVR. My TV from 2015 could not. (Maybe a brand new TV can do this. Check the specs for DD+.) If you have a fairy new AVR that can process a DD+ signal, then plug the Roku directly into your AVR. Then [**important**] do a factory reset of the Roku to update all the apps. After I did this the Roku delivered magnificent sound from Netflix, HBOmax, Disney+, and Peacock. (Haven't tried any others.) One little problem - about every third time I turn everything on, I have to re-pair (i.e. link up) the Roku remote with the Roku. I have it powered from a USB receptacle on the AVR which means it goes off when the AVR goes off. Maybe if I plug it, instead, into my power strip (it includes an adapter for this), it will stay on continuously, and this won't be a problem. Haven't tried this yet. But once it activates and links with the remote, it works great.

Did what I needed it to do. Make an old TV into a smart TV. I ditched my cable and needed to be able to stream on my TV in the spare room. This lets me connect to my streaming service on this older TV. I did not provide credit card info to Roku since I'm not purchasing any content from them. At the bottom of the set up menu you can select to add credit card info later. I am using it to connect to my Fubo and Netflix accounts.

Great streaming stick, 100% from the amazon fire stick, we got more options and less buffering with this device.

Great way to stream video from Direct TV Stream. The setup was simple, and the product is very easy to use. Great deal!

Nothing not to like, it took minutes ti setup and gave me access to all the streaming apps i use.

I already have two and this one works as expected. I have used Amazon's Fire Stick but Roku is the best for streaming.

I have an older tv and it turned it into a smart tv . Easy to set up . It doesn’t need a cable hook up .

I am legally blind, so a voice activated remote is a vary helpful item. I was told that CNN was available thru Roku by a Best Buy employee but it is only the CNN headlines channel, not the live CNN station.

It was Between this and Amazon fire stick. Roku won out. Easier to navigate.
