We used to have a tv that has the roku built in but after we upgrade our tv its not the same anymore so we have to buy this in order to download an app where i watch my tv shows. Great item!

My TV has a cover in the back and the stick almost didn't fit, because it's a little long. If you have a TV that covers the cords in the back this is something to consider.
