This is now. My new remote control as the town has gone to streaming period there's nothing intuitive about it. The upper left hand arrow provides you a guide when you turn your t. V set on, you must be an input h. DM, I, and then you have to switch to the roku. Remote with the home button period you can scroll up or down a single channel with the upper down buttons period the volumes are on the right side completely of the remote. You might actually turn the mute button on Many times by mistake. this does the job period but it's not labeled ckearly like a remote. It is a small remote to use but so far, for 8 weeks, it has done the job reliably. This came with batteries.

I bought this as a gift for a friend. It was very inexpensive for what you get. The friend really enjoys the product.

Replaced a burnt out - after 6 years - ROKU. Simple swap and replace. Works better than the old one did since the wi-fi interface is better.

Had a Fire Stick and always had problems with it, I had a ROKU in the basement and never had a problem, so I switched it and I am very pleased as it was easy to transfer everything and not one problem in the last month! ROKU loads twice as fast as the Fire Stick ever did!

Converts a non-voice capable TV to a voice capable TV.

If all you want is 2 ch stereo sound, then just plug it into an HDMI receptacle on the back of your TV, and you're good to go. However, if you are after 5.1 ch surround sound, your TV may not be able to pass this signal to your AVR. My TV from 2015 could not. (Maybe a brand new TV can do this. Check the specs for DD+.) If you have a fairy new AVR that can process a DD+ signal, then plug the Roku directly into your AVR. Then [**important**] do a factory reset of the Roku to update all the apps. After I did this the Roku delivered magnificent sound from Netflix, HBOmax, Disney+, and Peacock. (Haven't tried any others.) One little problem - about every third time I turn everything on, I have to re-pair (i.e. link up) the Roku remote with the Roku. I have it powered from a USB receptacle on the AVR which means it goes off when the AVR goes off. Maybe if I plug it, instead, into my power strip (it includes an adapter for this), it will stay on continuously, and this won't be a problem. Haven't tried this yet. But once it activates and links with the remote, it works great.

Love this easy to use merchandise. I do recommend this product. Especially having the roku app remote is a plus because sometimes you misplace the remote you can use your phone.
