It also is a very affordable option if you already have affordable internet. Unfortunately, I can't get rid of my TV package unless I lose my substantial internet and phone discounts, so I haven't cut the cord, but I see why people do so.

Have been using Roku for several years so when I needed to upgrade, I continued on with it to watch my fav steaming services.

Once I did, It's amazing how fast the apps load compared to the smart TV function. The menu and getting around to all my streaming services are much easier to find and much quicker to load.

Roku was the most cost effective solution to get access to local channels online. We are located in a forest area so over the air broadcast signals in the UHF frequencies are very weak and inconsistent. We haven't really taken advantage of the other video services offered by Roku.

This device now allows me to watch Disney plus, HBO max and several other streaming services that I could only watch on my iPad. Saved me from having to buy a new tv.
