Also, closed captions are available only when the service provider (e.g., Netflix, The Roku Channel, or Hulu) includes them with their content. Even so, this device is a serious step down from my old Roku Ultra. It does not control my soundbar the way it should, and after only a couple of weeks of use I have had to reset it twice. Even with new batteries in the remote, I often have to press a button several times to get it to perform an action (12 feet away - straight line; never an issue with my Ultra). I doubt that it would be effective controlling a newer 4K TV, based on it's shaky performance with my old set. I got it because I wanted to reduce the number of wires hanging on my TV wall, since it gets its' power from the TV's USB. I am going to replace it.
