Posted .Hi there, this doesn't sound right. We want to help. If you haven't already, unplug your Roku stick from power for a minute, then plug it back in to see if this clears up the issue. In addition, try replacing the HDMI cable connecting your Roku device to your TV, or connect the Roku device to a different HDMI port on your TV. I've never gone through so many batteries on a remote like this. It's really really bad. Not sure why it drains the batteries so fast.

Please be aware that if you are using private listening, it will typically drain the battery on your remote faster than when not being used. Be sure to always unplug your headphones when not in use as this will help to preserve your remote's battery life.
Alternatively, it may also help to utilize a different power source. For example, if the USB power cable from your Roku player is currently connected to the USB port on your TV, we would recommend that you connect the USB cable directly to a wall outlet or power strip.

We have older TVs that are not smart TVs that we put these on. They give error messages frequently, and then can't be used unless you unplug the TV and reboot. When they work, they are great!
