    It does function, however I have to go to the back of the TV and press the on button each and every time I turn on the TV! The remote will not activate the stick.

    Well i hate it but i bought as a gift for an elderly lady, and i have to take it back because the remote doesn't work. I have helped other people download to their tv with no problems. Just a bad remote i guess.

    This item did not work for me. I have previously installed 3 Roku's on three tv sets. All have been working fine. I had before that intalled in one of the tv's a google device which I switched to Roku. I purchased this item featuring a 5k upgrade, etc as I had previously purchased a 5k Insignia tv at BB. This did not work and I couldn't turn off the tv and had installation problems. I went back to my earlier Roku and was happy with it then and stll happy with what, I guess was an older model.

    I have to say it ok except that it doesnt connwct to a bluetooth speaker. I decided to return and buy Roku Ultra 2024 which it connects to bluetooth as well as it plays video and music via usb.

    Love the Roku. Very easy setup. Good selection of streaming apps includes subscription apps and free apps. Excellent 4K quality. Windows 10 and 11 laptops and PCs stream easily and smoothly to the Roku for TV display of windows desktop. Windows can use it as a desktop duplicate, second extended monitor. or as the primary monitor. Can control Roku from phone and remote. I have used several of these. When you have more than one remote, you can pair more than one Roku remote to device. So with multiple Rokus and remotes you don't need to find a specific remote. You can program all remotes to work with any Roku.

    Could not get it to install on HDTV. Believe is was because HDMI port on Television was only a 2.0 and not a 2.2 that it mentioned in one part of the brochure

    Picked up one in the Palmdale store. Got home and realized was not provided the Fubo and Apple TV free trials. The stick did not work properly anyway. Order a new one one line and picked up and got the free trials. But cant use the Fubo trial, because it was sent to my email address that was registered on Fubo site and Fubo refused to honor it. Talked to everyone at Fubo and they had no compassion even when I explained everythig clearly to them.

    Worked as intended. After 7 months it just stopped working. It just sits with a bouncing logo and the app can no longer find it in my home. Tried everything. Don’t buy the roku sticks. This happens to a lot of people. The roku ultra box i bought years ago continues to work just fine.

    I, too, am having issues with getting the remote to work/pair with the streaming stick. I've had several Rokus in the past and never a problem until this one. And it does not seem like there is a resolution to the problem other than buying a new remote (at our cost). Sadly, I am out of my return period since I had major surgery and was unable to get it set up beforehand and waited until I felt better before dealing with it and realizing it was an issue.

    Remote failed, ROKU support was frustrating

    I have liked ROKU over the years, but our remote kept losing pairing with the TV for power on/off and volume control. I was very painful dealing with ROKU. Their only support way was chat. I have asked for a new remote to be sent to me and they said they would have to take 24 to 48 hours to confirm. So frustrating that you can't talk to a real person
