So we bought this for her so she can still watch TV and not just three stations like in the 1960’s.

It eats batteries! I bought this for my mother who is not very goodwith tech. Every day I am having to reboot this thing for her (when it freezes up) and trying to answer questions for her that I do not have the answer to! I tried moving the device and the TV; Same thing! Every other week I am replacing the batteries! Tried using longer cables so that the remote has better line of site! Same thing! Disappointing! Did I mention that it eats batteries?

Granted that's kind of a niche use case (HD Homerun system for OTA reception), but it forced me to buy several Roku Ultras which do work great.

It has good streaming stations plus live TV. You can operate without YouTube TV or some of the others if you're not too hooked on live TV offerings. It's our second one. you need one for each TV.

Tried a factory reset, but now it's stuck on the remote pairing screen - nothing changes that. Tried to exchange/return it, but Best Buy's return window is smaller than other stores. Would've been great had it kept working.

Roku knocks out Apple TV
