I believe something happened with the newest update but Roku can't figure it out. They told me I can't use a hotspot. I have unlimited so why would i pay $80 verizon or comcast when I can pay less than $50. My Amazon Firestick works just fine. I'm done with Roku for good.

Posted .Hi Drew, we don't typically recommend using mobile hotspot connections for streaming, but rather recommend the use of a home WiFi network if available for the best streaming experience.
You might try performing a network reset on your phone as this will erase any stored WiFi passwords. On the Roku, also perform a network reset, found on the Settings/System/Advanced system settings>Network connection reset menu. We hope this helps!
