    Might have been the way it had to plug into our tv. The power cord on the stick plug sat on top pulling on it more than what seems it was made for. Might work better on different tv.

    This is my second, the 1st 4K lasted 2 months. It just lost power. Took it to a store, person on the floor asked if I had tried new batteries. Which I had, said wasn't anything he could do for me, suggested I buy another

    It gets WAY TOO HOT and it crapped out 6 days after I bought it. I exchanged it for another. We'll see if the replacement is any better.

    Even though the Tv I am using this stick on is a smart TV, the streaming is much faster and better using this ROKU stick.

    If you don’t have a smart tv and unable to download streaming apps and more get you a ROKU to get the most out of your tv!

    I bought 2 of th we se and had problems with both of them. I took one back for a refund but I missed the timeframe to take it back.

    I purchase 2 of these. Both have the same problem. When the tvs are turned on the HDCP error screen comes up when I try to stream YoutubeTV. I unplug the sticks and plug them back in and the error goes away. I have tried all of Rokus trouble shooting. Nothing fixes it. One tv is LG other is Samsung. 5 year old Roku works great. Many complaints on Roku website for the same problem. No solution that I can find

    The Best Buy rep was very good on going over the different features of Roku, which I bought when my regular service Verizon, DROPPED ONE AMERICA NEWS. But after a week or so, Roku changed One America to a paid service, rather than what was advertized as free. Further ROKU gets a ZERO rating in itself. First you can not fast forward on commercials; second if you watch part of something, the show may not be there when you go to see the end of it and even if it is there, the system does NOT keep taps n where you ended, so you have to watch it all again or try to skip to the right spot. Their selection of shows would need improvement to get to the Blockbuster level ! DO NOT BUY!

    Disappointing. Would not pair with Receiver or tv sound. Would have to use two remotes to watch tv which is unacceptable. My Xfinity Flex box does pair completely and I only need their remote to do the job. Will use the Roku in my bedroom for light use.

      Hello, we appreciate the feedback and we'd like to offer some assistance! Your Roku player remote is designed to control volume and power for your TV. It cannot directly control other devices connected to your TV, such as an audio/video receiver (AVR) or soundbar.

      However, your TV may be able to issue volume commands to your AVR or soundbar using a technology called HDMI CEC. In these cases, your new remote can indirectly control volume for your AVR or soundbar. For this to work, all your devices must be connected via HDMI, and all devices must support HDMI CEC and have this feature enabled.

    This beats apple tv and amazon tv hands down. Its perfect for older people who cant stand using Xfinitys GUI.

    No separate AV Receiver option that I could find.

    I was very disappointed with this product. I was planning to replace the Amazon Fire TV stick with this streaming unit but it didn't work out. I have an AV receiver that controls the surround sound for my TV which I had connected successfully and easily with the Fire stick. I tried for several hours to do the same with the Roku but without success. I tried several suggestions that I got from Google, but my Denon AV unit is too old (about 11 years). Apparently the Fire stick found the Denon without any prompting from me but I could not find any way for the Roku to see it. Without the AV receiver connected, the TV sound control works fine. But, that is not what I wanted.

    This Roku stick freezes randomly while using streaming apps. Especially peacock it is completely unusable.

      Hello there, thanks for sharing. Help has arrived! It's important to note that all Roku devices should have a stable internet connection to avoid a playback issue. To check, you can Press Home>Network>Check Network Connection. Additionally, make sure that your device has the latest software version. If the streaming device is connected to the TV, try plugging it directly into the power source to check if the device is receiving sufficient power. Also, please try to do a system restart.
