Works Great and Standardizes Functions Across TVs

I bought this one instead of a lower level one to be able to get TV controls such as On/Off, Volume +/- and Mute. Since we stream almost everything we watch, using Roku devices allows me to standardize the smart functionality and remotes for different makes of TV. The Wi-Fi connection is solid. The device also packs easily for travel.

Works without stuttering or buffering constantly compared to my Amazon stick or old Sony player with streaming option. Also can take the place of my cable box just by downloading my cable companies app. (Save 30 bucks a month by not having to rent the boxes from the cable co.) Lots of apps to choose from also. Very happy with the performance.

Necessary evil but works as intended

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately for me I had to buy this device in order to use my internet/cable provider service (Spectrum) via internet instead of having a cable box because the brand of tv (Sony Bravia) I have doesn’t offer it as an app. So it seems to me it would be better to purchase a tv that already has roku in it but otherwise this device works ok and is easy to use and set up. It does have some technical difficulties which I believe are the internet service provider issues. I haven’t really explored the apps on this device as I have quite a few overlapping between my tv and this device. So basically I only purchased this device to be able to have my internet/cable provider usage which includes my local channels and some cable channels. I would appreciate any guidance on this if someone could help or make suggestions to me.
