I purchased this during a black Friday sale and must say that for the price ($29.99 when purchased) this is an amazing value. I bought this to replace an aging 2017 era Roku Premiere 4K (non HDR version) which was starting to feel sluggish and not as responsive as it once did. The Streaming Stick 4K is much more compact (a dongle versus a countertop box) and can be plugged directly into the HDMI port so you don't even need an HDMI cable to use it. Having said that, I needed an HDMI extender cable, which is not included in the package. Roku does offer you that you can order one for free though, but if you ask me they should have just included it in the box. Other than that minor gripe, this is a really great value for the money, even at it's $49.99 retail price. Do try and get it though when on sale as the value is just way better. Speaking of features and usability the Streaming Stick 4K offers the updated Roku enhanced remote (the mid tier model, aka the one without the always on mic and rechargeable battery) which can also control the power and volume controls on your TV. This is great because on one of the televisions I have uses the Roku as a pseudo cable box (we have Spectrum and use the Roku app) so not having to look for and use multiple remotes to control the TV is pretty nice. The UI is typical Roku, so if you've used a Roku in the past it's pretty much the same as before (NOT a bad thing!). If this is your first time using Roku just know the UI is pretty basic but again, that can be a good thing, especially for folks who may not be tech savvy. All in all I'm giving this Roku 5 stars because of it's value overall. It's a typical Roku experience but for the money it's tough competition for the likes of Apple TV (of which I also own), especially when you can get the Apple TV+ app on Roku. If you're looking for a streaming box/stick and are on a budget you can't go wrong with Roku!

This Roku has breathed new life into a five year old LG tv. It is much faster than the WebOS system that comes with the tv. The picture quality is fantastic and streaming speeds and reliability are better than before. It also resolved a home location issue that I had with Hulu.

I've bought, installed and used several ROKU Sticks over the years. I've never had any problem with them. They've always provided me the access I need and want to receive and view a wide variety of TV programs from various sources. The only consideration is as follows: I've used the sticks on TV's that did NOT have the ROKU feature built in to start with. In more recent years, I've replaced older TV's with either ROKU televisions or smart TV's that have the ROK feature built in. That way, I do NOT need to use the separate "stick" product which also requires an additional electrical outlet connection.

This Roku stick works very well. I especially like the voice feature which also works very well. I don't care much for all the trial offers which require a credit card. Seems like there's always something for sale in your face. The major exception seems to be the Roku channel which has lots of free stuff. This stick seems to have much more to offer than my old original model Roku which I put away. I wondered prior to purchase if the remote signal would require line of sight to the stick. It does not. My old Roku was very picky about line of sight and range.

Hi ! To begin with having the Roku connected by a wire not Wifi gives the strongest signal ! I use the headset or earbuds that is easily connected to the Roku Remote Control. Also the voice remote is very advantageous for all ages enabling easer and faster operation of the desired commands. The price is commensurate with the quality of this product. In closing i am extremely satisfied with all of the Roku products i have purchased.

Easy to install, and works great for our office lobby. i was plugged in and watching TV in minutes. Easy to add apps and program too. Remote works great and picture is great! i have 2 at my house and 3 at the office.

good remote, works well, allowed a seamless transition to our new TV which did not have Roku built in. Didn't want to have to learn a new system and this solved the problem.

Great product and pick up was made super easy with Best Buy on line. The set up is easy and my daughter had access to streaming in 20 minutes.

In my opinion, the Roku Stick is the standard in my book for excellence of ease of setup, use and dependability.

Super easy to set up and use. Clear interface and logical menu setup. My only beef is having to remove that gross tag from the remote every time I get a new generation of these things. That’s three cents they can save on the cost of goods per unit right there. Yuck.

This is our second Roku. The stick itself is great, the remote has a couple of issues, all solvable. As for plusses, it's GREAT to be able to turn on and off the tv and control our receiver's volume without needing the tv's or receiver's original remotes. We wish it could also turn ON our receiver - and maybe it can but we haven't figured it out yet. We noticed the new remote has replaced the dedicated Hulu and SlingTV buttons with Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime. Not an issue for us since we rarely remember to use those four buttons anyway. Our frequent services are at the top of our screen anyway. As for drawbacks with the remote, first, the voice search has been pretty useless for us. If you use it to start Netflix or something like that, it's fine although that really adds no value since there's a button to start Netflix in the first place. Likewise, commands like "turn it up," and "turn off the tv" are a simple button push that's much quicker and more direct than using voice control. The ONLY scenario we see where it could be remotely (pun intended) useful is something like "search for horror movies." We've tried searching for specific content with zero positive results. Maybe there are other uses that we didn't see covered in the generic documentation, but it's easier to just not use it at all. Second, the mute and volume buttons on the side are always in the way and MUTE gets pushed accidentally very often. We could adjust how we hold the remote, but then it's awkward to use. I suppose you could call this a silver lining for left-handed people. Overall, we would still recommend this device especially for those with the previous versions that didn't have volume control or voice search - just because we don't find the voice search useful doesn't mean plenty of other people won't.

Product was easy to set up but just asked a lot of questions such as what room you are using each one in and credit card information.

I bought this for my father, who has an older TV that was technically smart but so old that it didn't have all the common (or even updated apps) nor move at above a snail's pace. I own ROKU products and knew this would be exactly what he needed, as he wasn't really interested in spending the money on an upgraded television. Installation was quick and easy - plug it into a HDMI port, and the power adapter to an outlet and turn on the TV. The Roku's on-screen setup procedure was informative, quick, and easy. Using a combination of the on-screen setup and the Roku website was easy for my dad to follow along with and at the end of the process he was amazed at how quick it was. The only part he wasn't thrilled about was providing payment information to ROKU, even though he wasn't purchasing anything at the moment. Using the device is quick and snappy. The ROKU software's responsiveness and speed is a major plus, as well as its access to every streaming app you could possibly think of. My dad is a big fan of the voice remote and it was very easy for him to input his login information via that method. If you've got a TV - either not smart at all or if you're using your TV's built in software and feel it's not updating to the latest apps or not running a speed that's acceptable, I can't recommend the ROKU streaming stick enough. For the price, even if you *think* your TV's built in streaming software is slow, this is worth trying out.

The Roku Streaming Stick is hands-down one of the best streaming devices I’ve ever used. Setup is super easy—just plug it in, connect to Wi-Fi, and you’re ready to go. The interface is simple, fast, and very user-friendly, with all the big apps like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, YouTube, and tons more. The picture quality is excellent, whether you’re watching in HD or 4K, and the speed is impressive—apps load quickly and videos start without a lot of buffering. The remote is another highlight: it’s small, easy to use, has voice control, and you can even use the Roku app on your phone as a backup or for private listening. One of the best parts is all the free content available through Roku’s own channel and other apps. Plus, the device is super reliable—it doesn’t freeze, crash, or lag like others I’ve tried. For the price, you really can’t beat it. It’s affordable, powerful, and makes streaming effortless. I honestly can’t imagine watching TV without it now.

I bought the Roku Streaming Stick 4k to replace several Xfinity Cable boxes and save some $$ on the rental fee for each one. Yes, Roku is compatible with the Xfinity Stream app. Setup is a breeze, and the home screen layout is very straight forward and easy to navigate. Also very easy to configure your Home Screen apps the way you want to. The live T.V. selection is pretty impressive, and the Voice remote is an added bonus. Picture quality is excellent, and no issues with wi-fi connectivity. I also have a small Fire TV that is essentially preloaded as an Amazon Firestick. I find the home screen of the Fire TV to be very cluttered and filled with what amounts to ads for whatever is on Prime video. For me, the Roku is hands down a winner! I still have cable because in my household, to get all the channels we watch, we would have to subscribe to several different streaming services, which would actually be more expensive than cable. Xfinity right now provides the best value, as unbelievable as that may sound. The Roku allows savings on cable boxes while not sacrificing picture quality, ease of use, etc.
