    Wifi only usage

    Thought this device could be used with an ethernet cord, but found out it can only be used with wifi. For that reason I returned it.

    I bought this several months ago and it is starting to not work. Unresponsive to the remote and delayed response when using the remote. I just took a look at the roku stick that plugs into the TV and see that it has a wrapper on it that says reconditioned. They absolutely presented this as brand new and even had all the packaging perfectly done like it was brand new. I reviewed my purchase and it still doesn't say anything about reconditioned or refurbished when I bought it. It was an online purchase pickWed up at a store.

      Hi Beverly, thanks for sharing with us. It is advisable to consider the Wi-Fi connection as a potential cause. To resolve this, we recommend unplugging your Wi-Fi router for a minimum of 60 seconds. In addition, perform a system restart on your Roku device by navigating to Home>Settings>System>System Restart. Also, try connecting to a different network, like a Mobile Hotspot, to find out if the issue is with your Wi-Fi router or Roku device. Lastly, reinstallation of the affected channel is recommended.     Malfunctioning remote

    The remote doesn't always work once you press on. On has to be pressed a second time. The volume malfunctioned. I put it on mute and had a difficult time getting it to return to sound. I put in new batteries, but the issues persisted.

    We've had two of this product and several of the ROKU Express models. Overall, ROKU products are a pain in the butt! The stop working, they re-boot themselves and I've had to replace the remotes. Though it's the least amount of trouble when compared to the FireStick. Not one that I would personally recommend.

    The last two streaming sticks I purchased have not been the greatest. No sure if they are not making them as well but I am having a lot of technical issues with the last two I purchased. Picture not showing up and I have to unplug and plug back up to get the picture when using the Roku. Could not return to store after 14 days so I was stuck with products.

    I bought this because its wireless connection allowed me to place a TV on a wall without calling the cable company or renting another box from them. So simple to connect a boomer can do it.

    Actually works less effectively than the previous Roku streaming device I gave away, though this new one runs cooler. The main problem is the volume control; it is unreliable and volume gets stuck and will not move up or down. This is a known problem.

    I had a hard time keeping the plug to the Tv in tight….it kept coming loose. Finally got it to stay.

    Plug it in, sign into your accounts, and turn any hdmi enable tv into a smart tv. We had an older smart tv and it was painfully slow. This made it feel like that old tv is new tech.

    Constant audio dropouts. Have several Roku devices. This one has audio issues that im hoping will be fixed w sw updates

    Very unstable after installation and activation

    I've been a Roku user for many years. This was the most troublesome activation. It took at least 6 times to get it to work and it's still not stable. After successfully completing installation, it will sometimes de-pair the remote, reject the video feed for some digital protection scheme it says I don't have for 1080p, or just blanks out the screen without warning. In addition, I had to de-activate TV control, since it would only increase to max or decrease to min a single push of the volume control. I was just about to package it up and return it, when I gave it one more try. If it fails again, back it goes. This is with a Vizio TV that has previously been running with a Roku 3 without problems.
