Posted .Hi Myoko, thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. In the meantime, please try this simple step: carefully unplug the power cable from your Roku player and allow it to cool down. Ensure it has good ventilation and is not in an enclosed space. You can also try installing a free HDMI extender to move your Roku away from the back of your TV. Works as advertised just like the Fire stick

It does have certain apps available that the Fire does not. Certain cable tv providers allow their apps on the Roku, thus saving monthly payments of "rental" of their cable box. The roku has worked as advertised and so far there are no problems. Why it cost more than the Fire stick I do not know but right now both work fine. I will try to see the difference between the two in ongoing investigation.

Bought it to replace a more expensive older model that I bought before they had voice control. This model has a voice remote and was a cinch to set up. Very happy with it. BTW also considered buying it at Amazon, but Best Buy would ship it quicker. Guess that's why they are BEST buy!

I bought it for the extended range and it delivers on that. Roku is better than the Amazon Fire Stick. Better interface. Easier to use. Accommodates the Spectrum [Charter] TV app whereas Fire Stick does not. Go with Roku … always. You won’t be disappointed.

Great Streaming Stick!

Our other 2 Rokus were working just fine (and still do) so there was no real rush to connect it to a rarely watched tv. However, now that tv is probably the most watched tv. This version of the Roku streaming stick seems a little faster than our other units. Picture quality is great too.

They provide the convenience of each individual family member viewing their favorite shows at any time of day or night. Unfortunately, Xfinity requires you to be connected to your home WiFi for their app to work. No fault of the stick. Ended up using the stick in the guest bedroom where we never placed an Xfinity box. Since that’s at home, it works great, and I’m not paying to rent yet another Xfinity box. I may buy more of these and replace more boxes at home because it pays for itself in months….

This was on sale and I bought it, and Iʻm so glad I did! All I had to do was slide it into the back of the TV, and I was off to the races! I love streaming through Roku. Itʻs so easy, and there are lots of choices.
