Works well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned the first one because the remote constantly froze. The second one worked well. After setting up the channels, it was easy to use. The phone app remote works great.

Not too bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great add on to an older HDTV, but more importantly it can pay for itself if you're a Time Warner Cable subscriber. Rather than renting out another box or punching another hole into my wall, I used my old Roku XD and bought a new Streaming Stick. Surprisingly the XD loads up faster than the Streaming Stick. Other than that, there's no other difference in terms of my experience. I have the Time Warner app and nothing else. I can watch live TV and some On Demand programs. If we ever switch over to another carrier, the Roku devices would probably see little action. But for now, definitely a worthwhile investment.

Its a good extension of my computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice product. I bought the lower end model as there are several newer versions out now. Streams a little choppy at times, especially with sporting events but the benefit of having several college games to choose from outways the negatives. You must have the sporting packages through your cable or satelite provider. My kids shows work well though (Disney JR etc..) On some of the free movie channels there are several annoying commercials. Overall good product for the price, I paid about $50. I would consider buying the next model up, I liked this one because it plugs into the back of the TV and is out of sight.

awesome video streaming product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am currently an owner of the roku and decided to get one for my dad for his birthday, actually ended up going for the roku stick and got to say that I like it better than the one I have.I've had the opportunity to use it and work as great as the original roku but with a few advantages. One of the advantages it has is that it let's you choose from your different accounts in Netflix, as for the original roku, it doesn't.

Awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this little toy! It's great having this completely hidden behind our TV. The remote is a little quirky at times but I think it's because it's a wifi remote...

Simple
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple to hook up. Kind of slow to process requests but this may be due to my Internet speed or middle-of-the-road device as opposed to the top-of-the-line not sure.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this, but I have a Roku3 and it's much faster loading and it seem that the remote doesn't respond like it should.

great product for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a little TV in my bar... I didn't want to run cable to that area. Able to set this up takes up no space and pretty much as functional as the larger ones. For the price, can't be beat

gets it done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Roku 3 already, and love it, this was for a bedroom TV that will hardly be used, and doesn't have a cable box hooked up. Roku streams TWC and so much more that I don't need anything else. It turns a slightly older TV into a smart TV, it is a bit slower than the Roku 3, but I have had no issues and the picture is great. A note on the picture, I have a high tier line (fast), if you have slower internet, this can effect the picture, but please know the stick can give a great picture with enough bandwidth. It gets it done.

This thing is pretty cool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my Daughters new TV instead of paying ATT $10 every month for another box. Works great, she can pick what she wants to watch and it has parental controls. Easy to set up.

Great program guide, Easy Set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up. Program guide took some getting used to vs. the traditional Time Warner view, but once we got the hang of it, nice improvement. Also took some getting used to going to the ESPN portal to view some sporting events, but the channel is great. Wish the dongel did not stick out quite so far on the back and that the cord was longer - this made placing into my wall-mounted TV a bit of a challenge, but I figured it out. Also, recommend purchasing a wi-fi repeater to make sure your signal strength is adequate to prevent signal lag. happy to ditch the expensive cable box!!

Great Streaming TV Device for my 1st entry
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Amazon Fire TV Stick and the Roku Stick both for $40 (Roku $10 off sale). The Roku works much better! They both stream about how the same content but Roku was faster and didn't freeze up as much as Roku. Also I didn't like the way the menus are organized with Amazon. Basically, they just broke the Amazon Prime App in many parts on the main menu (good way to encourage consumer to use their stuff). Also there was no good way to organize you Apps on Amazon Fire TV. It only had recents by which apps are organized. The Roku allows you right from the home menu to organize your apps. I like this so I can group similar programming together. Also for those that like music videos streaming the Vevo app on Amazon is not as good. The Latin music genre was missing and the search doesn't work. While on Roku the Vevo app works perfect. There is a Latin music genre and search works great. Therefore I returned my Amazon Fire TV stick. The lower end Roku stick worked so great that I bought the higher end Roku 3 player ($99). I didn't notice hardly any difference in processor/streaming speed. I bought the more expensive one due to the air bud jack that connects to the remote because I have this in the kitchen so the sound doesn't clash with my Liv Rm TV sound. Really cool was that when I activated my 2nd Roku it kept all my settings and Apps, so very little set up time on the 2nd Roku device.

I like it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works great. Sometimes it takes a while to load things. I find it slower to cast to than my Chromecast is. But it has a lot of nice features. Worth the money.

Must have if you watch TWC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great value for the sheer amount of content you receive. My main reason for the Roku is to use it to watch the TWC (Time Warner Cable) app which makes this little device fully functional like a cable box but eliminates the monthly lease fee. It let's you watch 99% of the channels (some local sports don't allow streaming - like FSOH). For TWC, there's about a 30 sec lag over the cable box and no surround sound, but for a bedroom or kitchen it's great! It works great in 720p or 1080p via HDMI only. I also use it for HBOGO, Netflix and others - which do support surround sound (it's up to the individual app/channel). Amazing amount of content exists for the price.
