The ROKU streaming stick has made transitioning to streaming TV a breeze. All my favorite apps are available. We love it. Even my 5 year old granddaughter can use it (with the remote).

I like the Roku interface, and it's easy to set up. But, there is sometimes a delay when using the remote with the stick, so would recommend the box instead.

I use this Roku Streaming Stick on my 1080p TV with a fast internet connection. The installation was very easy as attaching the stick into my TV's HDMI port. The stick works with a power adapter that needs a wall outlet. To activate my Roku stick I must have a Roku account. I had a little problem when I set up my account. I simply called (888) 600 7658 to contacte support and they helped me. After the stick has actived it works great. I am very satisfying what I have.

The stick is nice have because it's not another item sitting on my stand. It's hidden out of the way, easily move able and many options.

Great product for streaming movies to my TV. It was simple to install but a bit slow when typing in selections one letter at a time. A good buy for the money

I had been using a Blu-Ray player to get access to Netflix, etc., but decided to go with the Roku. Easy to use, simply plug it into the HDMI port on the TV, and get many streaming options.

So I have the original Roku 1 as well and still use it to this day since 2008 (we are cable cord cutters.) And we were using our Wii for another TV to still watch Netflix & Hulu, but the standard RYW audio/picture cables on the Wii were horrible for streaming. Great for game play but horrible for streaming. I had bought the new HD cables for Wii thinking that might solve the issue, I would fix streaming and get better game play. Not so much. The HD cables are great for game play, but the horrible streaming stayed. So we ventured to get a new Roku & I contemplated buying an old Roku1 off of Craigslist, since we still love ours and it still works. But I noticed people were selling them at the same price as this new Roku Streaming Stick. So a sale, a $5 BB GC and some great reviews convinced me to try it. This is so much easier to use than my Roku 1. It connects directly to the HDMI, it powers into a USB or AC Adapter. It speaks wirelessly to your internet without cables and the remote is Bluetooth, so I don't have to be in front of the TV to change what we are watching (which is great when I am in the kitchen). Plus the interface has a better look and more features than my Roku 1. Now as I said in my title, I bought & enjoyed it. But I also broke it, apparently. One day, I turned on the TV, and the Roku booted (we have that smart surge protector that controls other devices once the lead one turns on). And the splash screen with bouncing Roku letters just kept bouncing and never loaded. It did nothing but bounce and then reset itself (turn off & on repeatedly). I tried troubleshooting by moving it to another HDMI port, plugging it into the Adapter instead of the USB, moved it to another TV, moved my old Roku into the previous HDMI port to prove it worked, pressed the reset button on the stick and the remote, and called technical support. They then told me to do all of those things. Since nothing resolved it, they asked me to ship it to them, so they could replace it. Within a week, I had a brand new one in the box on my doorstep. Haven't had an issue since. It works as expected and is better than a Roku 1 and customer service is amazing.

Bought the Roku Stick to stream HBO, NetFlix, etc. It is extremely easy to set up- just plug in to HDMI port, provide power via a cord that can be plugged in to a powered USB port or wall outlet, and you are off. They are many different channels offered (though many require a subscription); I daresay that just about everyone will be able to find something of interest. Roku also offers a free app that can be linked to this device. The app is really useful if you are using the device in a dark room, as the remote is not backlit, but the app has the functionality to control the Roku via your phone, so you can see what buttons you are pushing. Very pleased with this purchase.

I have Roku devices on all of my TV sets. This one works great, easy set up. Roku is the way to go, especially if you are a cord cutter.

The Roku stick works great for the features that it lists. It is compact, out of sight and easy to use. We have a Roku 2XS on another TV so we there was no learning curve with the stick.

This stick is perfect and saved us money compared to the other box type. Very easy to install and easy to move to room to room. We plan on buying a second one. There are so any apps and option to choose from with this. You do need t keep your internet. I use this in my master bedroom on my tv. We don't have cable installed in here. I get to watch just about anything I would watch. On tv with cable. My adult children each use this and recommended to me. , I read up. On it first. There have been some negative reviews on it. But people who don't have know how or patients to download a few apps that took me a whole 5 seconds. I love this.

I purchased the Roku for my wife to watch church services that are streamed live. She has physical difficulties getting out of bed; so brought the device to stream live services for her enjoyment. Best part was the ease of selecting and saving the channel for her. Just a couple of clicks to start watching on Sundays. We also have Netflix and watch a few movies. I do notice what appears to be competition for Internet WiFi service between the Roku streaming and other movies being watched on other devices in the home. Overall it works for the purpose we bought it for.

This thing is great. Plays Netflix in 1080p on my older Samsung TV. Bad thing is that it is slow... real slow. If I want to turn something on it takes 30 seconds to boot to main page then another 30 seconds to load Netflix. But seriously for this price? It's awesome. Once you are past the initial boot times it performs extremely well. I only use Netflix since most all other channels you have to have cable or another service to utilize. Seriously? Have cable so that you can cut the cord? Not cool. This is a problem with streaming in general and not at all a problem of this slick device. /rant

This thing is great. Set-up is simple, the user interface is incredibly easy, and the functionality is very consistent. I have one on almost every TV in the house, and plan to buy more!

Love that it takes up virtually no room. However, it is somewhat annoying that the device has to be plugged in. Doesn't seem to work with the USB port on the TV.

Immediately turns a dumb TV into a smart TV. Has incredible selection of channels. Operating system could be quicker but definitely is enough to suffice. Excellent for cord cutters.

Its compatible with all my TVs, its small and versatile so easy to move from the kids bedroom to family room. Has many available apps, and we love Netflix at our fingertips.

This is great if you want to keep your area uncluttered. It attaches easily to the HDMI input on your tv and is completely hidden. Very smooth streaming and great picture quality!
