We got this for our daughter that was going to college. It would never connect to the schools wifi so she could not use it. It does not have the Ethernet cable option.

sucks all the things you want to watch or use you need subscription i should just buy cable and all the channels are trial i can use chromecast and get this stuff for free

I already had ROKU 2 and had expectations of similar response time and picture quality. I was disappointed with the streaming stick's performance and ended up returning it and purchasing ROKU 3 instead. I am pleased with that decision as it was worth the additional cost.

Horrible purchase bought as gift worked all of two days

I was disappointed to learn that I had to subscribe and make several payments to enjoy various programs. There should be an option to cable-like service that allows you to subscribe once and enjoy programs from various channels.

Stick was slow and would take seconds to do anything I clicked on.. Tried getting faster internet and resetting it. Nothing made it faster. Yes it works well but be prepared to be waiting like 10 seconds after every click

All I wanted was to watch my Netflix and Hulu so I was pointed to a Panasonic Blue Ray player, this is the one I was told. The unit would freeze on a regular basis then simply died after three weeks. Okay, what you really want is this Samsung player, it's great. The unit would freeze between episodes and every time it buffered. Not that unplugging the Samsung twice an hour to reset it was annoying, but it was. So I asked, is there anyone here who has more than a basic knowledge of streaming devices. At this point I was actually asked questions and then pointed to the Roku stick. Yay! Super simple installation, easy setup, and I'll be damned if the thing doesn't do exactly what I wanted. Yessir, it steams without freezing, the included remote is easy to use and not being line of sight is convenient. I am going to purchase another unit for my guest room and probably give these as gifts. Thank you Roku. And thank you Best Buy for accidentally hiring a knowledgeable sales associate.

Worked excellent for few months. Then the remote was not linked up to the roku. And doesn't work now.

i had troub le connecting this to a large screen tv it did not work...had no problem returning this to bestbuy

Not a fan of the roku players ..just not enough functionality with android, wouldn't recommend

I have long since given up cable and now stream all my programs from Amazon, Netflix and Hulu. I wanted to do away with the computer hooked up to my TV. I read briefly what Chromecast was offering, so I bought it but it was not simple to install (despite what my nephew and Youtube says) and you need your phone, tablet or laptop to control it. Well, after finally getting it installed and fiddling with the icons it was clear that Amazon was not included. You have do extra installing from the internet to make it accessible. Too much trouble. I went to Besbuy to purchase Amazon Fire stick because I was told over the phone that it offered all three apps. It doesn't. Luckily I was told before I purchased it. The team member suggested Roku. I bought, installed it (easy) and control it with the remote it comes with!!! I've been using it for 4 days now. No problems. Highly recommend it!!!!

Had to exchange it for the next step up model, $10 more. It initially worked, briefly, then stopped working in just a few minutes.

The Roku Streaming Stick is a good device, especially for travel or if you need to move your Roku to different devices at home. The odd thing for us is that it will not work on our 5-year-old Samsung LCD/LED television. It works on all other TVs I've tried, so I don't know what's up with that. However, for the other TVs, it works as advertised. Setup is a bit of a pain because Roku does not import all your settings - only your channels. So, you'll have to set up all your subscriptions again. It also is much slower than the Roku3 when it comes to opening apps, especially Netflix. But once it opens, it performs perfectly fine.

It very slow responds to play movies on apps. Remote do not work very well.
