Told to get the stick by staff there. When it didn't work, I returned it and was told by someone there that "we shouldn't even carry that". They then referred me to the ROKU 2. I have had difficulty getting it to work with my Comcast service. Roku blames Comcast and vice versa. About ready to take everything back including the SMART TV I bought

This thing was a big joke it only works 15 ft from the wifi.

Ok this started working great but then it starts to lag and is always loading.

I have a Roku 2 which I really like so I decided to purchase the stick for another room. It was a mistake. I have had significant connection issues with it. It works sometimes and not other times. I would much rather have another 2; its worth the higher price.

Could not effectively fit it on the Mitsubishi TV because the stick peas too long

Poor HD. Much better streaming through smart t.v. Netflix, Amazon, etc.

It didn't last. Quit working within 1 month. Replaced it with Roku 3.

I should have spent the additional money for the better models

Much to hard to use. Would not buy another one never use.

chromecast is prefered.Easier to broadcast anything on net

I am new to this and hated the fact you had to purchase channels. I pay for satellite. I installed a tv in my office and did not want to pay monthly fees on another box. This did not work for me and I returned it. Got a Google Chrome which is much easier to understand.

the remote goes through battery's weekly. poor remote

Setup was very easy. You plug it in, it guides you through connecting to your wireless LAN, you're then asked to link the streaming stick to your Roku account, after which it downloads the latest software, and installs it. So far so good. But, neither Roku nor Netflix could ever solve the 25% load freeze problem. In order to watch Netflix you always needed to restart your streaming stick. Also troublesome: It is very slow compared to Roku 3. Very, very slow. I ended up returning it and exchanging it for a Roku 3, which I connected via LAN --> no problems whatsoever, and awesome performance. Can't give more than 3 stars, whereas the Roku 3 would get 5 stars no questions asked. Recommendation: If you can go with a Roku 3 (and can spend more money) go for the Roku 3. Huge difference.

I wanted a Roku for the TV in my bedroom but I didn't want the cumbersome cords or little box on my TV stand. The streaming stick is better than the Roku we originally bought as it is much quicker. It is also very easy to set up by following on-screen prompts. I love the updated remote which has quick access buttons. The only thing that I wish they'd change is the fact that the remote for the stick does not have a headphone jack like the Roku 2 or 3. That would be very nice since I wear headphones most of the time which I plug into the TV across the room from where I usually sit.

I was never able to get this to work. I was in the room across the hall from where the wi-fi was coming into to house. We didn't have regular TV. I just wanted to connect my tv to the Internet so I could access Netflix. I would NOT recommend this product.

No where in all the on line information does it tell you that you will have to pay a $100 activation fee & every streaming serviced they offer will cost you money also. Very poor advertising. Would not recommend to anyone.

I recently have had a Chromecast, which was broken when pulling it out of the TV. I did not like it, and it was very slow. I really was wanting another streaming device, so i picked up the Roku Streaming Stick. Overall, very happy with it, Pros: 1) Small- it is smaller than the chromecast, which means it hides behind the TV better. 2) Apps- Many different app choices, love the radio apps like Pandora and iHeartRadio to use while doing stuff around the house. Mainly watch Hulu+ and Netflix and YouTube. 3) Remote- I Love having a remote. the Chromecast didnt have one, which was frustrating. Cons: With every good, comes a bad. 1) Youtube app- Is very, very, very, slow and laggy. to the point that it is annoying. To fix it just use my phone as a remote because it's so awlful. 2) Quick Key Buttons- I am lazy at times, and tend to toss the remote onto the table, and then the remote with hit a Rdio key while watching Hulu+. Then i have to go back and fix everything. this has only happened a couple times, but it can be annoying. Overall, its a very good device, not worth 5 stars to me, but i am happy with it, and would recommend it.

I have to constantly bang the remote, switch batteries, restart the device, etc. NUMEROUS times a day. I love the Roku but the remote needs A LOT of work. Btw....this remote is less than a month old.

For someone who does not have a smart tv, I would highly recommend this product. It's compact and portable, and gets the job done. I have two tv's and take it to whatever room I want to watch in. My internet speed is 18mbps and I do not have any issues with lag. Very impressed for an inexpensive way to make my tv smart. I canceled my cable and have been saving $75 per month.

Sent this back . It would not connect to my wifi router. Bought the next version it replaced and this one works great.
