I should start this out by saying I'm a Roku lover. We have four in our house and have purchased them as gifts for others. The stick stands out, as there is no big, bulky power cord, and no device to find a place for. It is powered by the USB port on the television. So it turns on and off with the TV. On the plus side, it doesn't stay on all the time like the other Roku devices. That said, it does take quite a while to boot up. Small price to pay for the convenience, though! So many great channels on the Roku, and if you have Time Warner Cable, the TWC channel is worth the purchase price alone. TWC programming and on demand. It's so convenient. One star off, as we initially had trouble with our remote. Roku handled it well and sent out a replacement right away.

I admit that I have always been a Chromecast girl but decided to try the Roku Streaming Stick since I have read so many great reviews for them. I purchased this one with a remote included. I like that a lot for sure. It is nice not to have to use my phone or ipad for a remote. And it is small but simple so not cumbersome like old fashioned remotes. The set-up process was not too complicated but took me more time than the Chromecast. But once I got it all figured out, it worked well. All is well so far. I took the Chromecast to the basement and set it up so I can use it when I am down there watching tv. But the Roku is on my main tv to enjoy right by the fireplace. I would recommend it to others. If I figured it out, I am sure you all could. I am not a techie so if you are... a piece of cake for you I am sure.

I love my Roku Streaming Stick for HDMI. Easy to install and easy to use. Many channels available. I bought it especially to use the JW Broadcasting channel which is only available on Roku for now. I also bought the Roku 3 for the main TV.

I bought this for my father who travels a lot. He uses it at home and then can easily disconnect it and take it along with him on his trips. This way, he always has "his tv" with him.

We had no gaming systems to go through to stream Net Flicks so we purchased the Roku stick. This is so easy to use and we are now able to take advantage of numerous media offerings. Highly recommend this product.

Blu ray on a secondary TV wasn't picking up wifi anymore so went out and got the Roku stick. Does everything I need it to do. Makes my wife happy which keeps me in her good graces.

I own Xbox 360's and an Xbox One so the need to purchase a separate streaming device wasn't required up until now. I recently purchased my kids a larger Samsung Plasma TV and wanted to have a place for them to watch Netflix. This thing is amazing; ESPN, HBO Go, PBS TV, Pandora are all available. This unit has more apps available than Xbox Live and Amazon's Fire TV unit. Definitely worth purchasing. My 6 year old daughter navigates to anything she wants to watch with the simple to use remote!

I prefer Roku & have been using it for more than a year.I specially like Roku for the Christian channels it hosts .There is definitely some weird channels that I am not interested in though.I had to give 4 stars only,since the stick is inconvenient when plugging it into the HDMI port of my Samsun TV.It could have been better designed to fit snuggly as it sticks out awkwardly & the shape & size may not be appropriate for all TVs.But the quality is great & worth it.Save money on cable & go for Roku !

Installed and watching Netflix in about 15 minutes (this included setting up a new Netflix account). Great picture and remote is a plus. Much better than ChromeCast, which does not have a remote.

This product was as advertised. I particularly liked that it included start up memberships, so we could see which services we'd like to subscribe to in the future.

We have had two streaming sticks for a year now. They are terrific. We ditched cable in favor of Roku and never looked back. We get Netflix, sports, music, etc. Could not be any better.

I love these little roku sticks! They come in so handy! Now I have one in my kids room and one in our master bedroom so when my husband is play a game, we can still watch netflix =D

Bought this for my mom and she is absolutely crazy about it. She has told me multiple times that she wouldn't recommend anything else because of how simple it is to use.

This product works great! I cancelled my cable subscription and now have access to so many more movies and tv shows....not to mention it's saving me a bundle.

Been thinking about getting something new for streaming ever since my PS3 crapped out. Was having trouble choosing between a stick or not, and then between Roku, Amazon, Apple, etc. Went with the Roku stick and it has been great so far! Super easy to use right out of the box and gets me all the channels I need. Definitely recommend.

Huge Apps with this Stick.. But it is very slow, when you connect it to TV USB to get the power for this stick.

Bought this for my mom for Christmas. Installation was easy and usage was easy. They love it and I have one as well. Highly recommend.

overall it is worth every penny...but my remote some times wont work if I dont point at the device....

This is a good quality streaming device. I have used Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, and Amazon Fire Stick. For the price the Roku packs a lot of features into a small device. I prefer it to the Chromecast which is too reliant on other devices for content. The Roku has serious competition from the Fire Stick. If you are on the fence I suggest picking the one that has the available content that you want. If the Roku has it, then you will be happy with it.
