Who needs a smart tv with this device? Easy to use, easy to set up. I love that it has a remote. I highly recommend this.

I have a 5 year old TV and had to use my PS3 to stream Netflix. This required having to run the PS3 whenever I wanted to watch something that needed to be streamed. Now, I just plug in the Roku Stick, power it with the USB on the TV and stream away! It also came with 3 free months of Hulu Plus which is a bonus. There are many other channels to stream for free, which were not available on the PS3. Our kids love the PBS Kids channel and the wife loves PBS to watch Downton Abbey episodes.

I purchased for my daughters tv because she loves Netflix. She uses her Roku everyday! She's able to use her Pandora acct and listen to her music. Her room 8s downstairs and I thought we would hv a streaming issue but we haven't. It makes a few mins to set up, it's detailed but easy. Would definitely recommend

I purchased 3 of these for my kids and they love being able to steam Netflix and Amazon! Very easy to use.

Has all the great features of other roku players at a lower cost. My only gripe is that it isnt as responsive in terms of speed as the other models. nothing to do with my internet speed, just overall responsiveness of moving between menus/channels. Everything else is great, overall very pleased. Bought for my parents who dont mind the slight lag, but I would go with a roku 2 or 3.

I like the fact that it is small, you can take anywhere with you!

Roku has great content and tons of available channels. I like the fact that you can also manually add channels with the channels codes online. The streaming stick is slow and if you have the space for another device I would suggest the Roku 3

Bought this as a gift for a family; simply plugged it in as described and worked without issue. Once accounts were signed in, she was able to navigate smoothly and watch the major streaming services (Netflix/Hulu/Amazon). Does everything a streaming device should!

I needed an alternative streaming solution for a bedroom TV. I picked the Roku stick over another apple TV because my cable provider has an app for watching live TV. Old house and no cable in the room made this a no brainier. However, it is so slow to move through the menu. Netflix and Hulu are also slow to move through the menu. It's a little frustrating.

Initially we were looking at a smart TV to do streaming (stuff like Netflix) rather than have a computer/console/whatever. Not only have we had no issues with this product, but it's far more economic and convenient. Buying this and a similar, non-smart TV is far cheaper than going for the smart TV. Plus, it's an HDMI device, so any TV you have that has HDMI--which is pretty much everything now--can use it.

My son bought me the Roku streaming stick for Mother's day and I just love it. The interface is extremely easy to navigate and the options are pretty much endless. I am getting ready to buy another one for my craftroom tv. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

I bought one of these because I was tired of not being able to stream MLB.tv or Amazon Instant Video through my Chromecast. I hooked it up and was amazed how well it worked. I get a great signal through it because it's dual band, and it was a breeze connecting it to my router and my newly created Roku account. I ended up liking it so much I bought two more for other TVs in our house. I run my own DVR using Windows Media Center, so once I installed Plex, I can now stream recorded TV through the Roku as a make-shift WMC Extender. I can't get live TV through it, but that's not a huge deal for what you get at just $50. I use Amazon Instant Video and MLB.tv regularly on my Roku and have not had any problems, it works great!

It's slow...but the the Insignia TV the best buy sales agent recommended might be the issue. Other than that it's pretty cool. Still ton better than Cable bills every month. Though you do have to subscribe to each Netflix,Google,Amazon Prime APP,etc. .. Just buy a Smart TV instead

The idea is nice, but is not the best product. The stick is slow to connect and sometimes does not connect at all. So it requires to turn it off and on. I like the size and how it connects to the TV. I can be better if they make it faster and fix the connections issue.

We love it! We use it for Netflix, games, YouTube. It's so easy to use.

Good idea, but not for me. Bought it to eliminate hooking my netbook to the t.v. via HDMI to stream YouTube, Netflix, PBS. Found navigation without pairing with tablet or computer very time consuming and difficult, so need to have second devise to find content quickly. YouTube content that is not in HD looked awful on the big t.v. Did not have long time lag with YouTube that most people complain about. Also found a lot of content very expensive, and 1-2 months old. PBS content is at least 1 month old. I did not try it on Netflix. For now, it does not work for me so I am returning it.

The Roku offers an easy way to watch Netflix and other paid services on your TV without needing toplug in your laptop or tablet. Roku also has several channels you can watch and many Pay-Per-View and movie rental options. You can also watch your VUDU movies through the Roku. The Roku is especially nice for those of us that don't have cable TV.

First purchase of a Roku. Easy to install and works great.
