The instructions are not clear. I thought it was not setting up, but it was waiting for my input. The instructions seemed to have skipped a step. After I figured it out, it worked well . I love it, but ever once in a while the remote looses it's "pairing" with the dongle. Re-pairing is easy, though.

Easy setup, I plugged this unit into my av receiver that had a hdmi input. I really like this new roku product. For the price paid you really feel like you get a lot of features. Also love the ability to stream music, videos and photos from my smart phone. Highly recommended !

I have a Roku2 for my upstairs tv and love it. I decided to try the stick for my downstairs telly. I like the Roku 2 better. My Roku stick came with a defective remote control that had arrow keys that stuck and sometimes it would just stop working. I contacted Roku support and they sent me a new remote promptly. The Roku2 uses infrared and responds instantly to the remote. The Roku stick remote uses radio frequency and is slower to respond. And now my new remote had an episode where it malfunctioned. I don't have any confidence in it. Meanwhile, the Roku2 has been trouble free since day one. Roku only provides a 90 day warranty.

Cable companies are in serious trouble with devices like this. I just bought the Roku and an HD antenna for local television and I am finally getting rid of cable. The amount of money I'm saving by doing this is great. I was paying $200 a month for cable with all of these channels I don't want. Do what I did, cut the cord.

The Roku streaming stick was a nice addition to my son's LED TV that did not have smart capabilities. We wanted to use it to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime videos. The interface and switching back and forth between the channels took a few mins each time. I chalked this up to just normal operation for streaming devices such as this as we were used to using a PS3 to do the same. It took several attempts to connect the Netflix channel to our network. The Roku Streaming Stick itself connected to our network without any problems. Next I tried to connect the Amazon channel. Logging in with my current account took multiple attempts, just like Netflix did. Once both channels were updated, I tried to watch a few videos off of Netflix and Amazon Prime. Approximately 50% of the time, Netflix stopped in the middle or the beginning of the video and told me that there was an error connecting to the home network and to try and reinstall. The Streaming Sick was positioned approximately 15 feet away from the wireless cable modem, with a direct line of sight. There were not walls or doors blocking the view of the Streaming Stick. After a few days of frustration and with no luck with contacting technical support, I decided to return the Streaming Stick and get a Roku 3. The Roku 3 loads and switches channels and videos in seconds with no issues whatsoever. I am much happier with the Roku 3.

Love the streaming stick!! Have in ourr guest bedroom and its awesome. Anyone who atays with us can view and stream what they want while we can watch what we want in the main living room. Nice and sleek no added electronics to worry about and you get everything as if its a full size roku.

Bought a new Smart TV, transferred an older 42" to our bedroom. Didn't want to get into buying modems, routers etc to view streaming movies. This little stick did the trick and perfectly. Tons of streaming channels available, all plugged into one HDMI port on the back of the TV.

I've had an Apple TV before and prefer this. It is able to do everything that it does and more. The remote is better and the whole interface is even more user friendly.

I've tried three different streaming sticks and haven't found one that the remote will work for more than 2 days. Other than that, no problems

I have the Roku 3 and love it but the stick seems to stop working when you turn on and off the TV and has to be unplugged and reset constantly.

I wasn't sure... I wan between the Roku 3 and the Roku Stick... I know wich one is better, but for my needs the 100 dlls Roku 3 was too expensive. This little device (Stick) get the jobe done at glance, so, don't go and pay double.

I'm still on the fence about how much we can limit our cable consumption by using the Roku but we will definitely be getting another one to at least get rid of our extra cable box! The streaming stick works perfectly, was super easy to set up, and has some awesome informative, entertaining, and fun channels available! We love the ISS stream and having Big Brother feeds on the TV, and put the RelaxMyDog channel on anytime we leave the house. The soothing music seems to help them and it was a lifesaver during fireworks on the 4th of July!

This is a powerful tool that helps me get closer to God Almighty everyday in my life. My whole family is regularly impacted by the great Christian channels on roku. It is easier to set also. I am grateful I bought this device.

I like the streaming stick - takes up less space and works perfectly. I don't have any issues with it being too tight a fit.

I purchased the Roku - Streaming Stick HDMI Version - Purple/Black as a present for my parents, they really like it. It was an open-box item, but in excellent condition, and I saved a lot of money. Great deal!

For starters, this device is easy to install/use and the price was GREAT! The only downfall I have with it is, that when I am on the YouTube app channel, there is a delay in response. I am very positive it is not my internet connection. Hopefully Roku can fix this glitch, because I use that channel to watch tutorials and etc.(great way to watch videos on a larger screen than your desktop and/or laptop).

The fast forward and rewind options skip way too far during use, close to an entire scene, and it's hard to pause on an exact spot.. That's very frustrating. On a positive side, setup was very simple even for existing accounts, just about every TV service you could choose is available and account accessibility has been made easy.

This is an amazing product. I originally bought a Chromecast before I realized it doesn't really have any content on it beyond youtube videos! The Roku comes with tons of apps, movies, etc. Plus its nice to have a real remote so I don't have to fiddle with a stupid phone app just to use my TV. My kids play games so they prefer the regular Roku, but the streaming stick is probably fine for most adults. I love it.
