If you are new to the steaming world, this item is great as it'll fulfill what you need. But I need more and this does not do it. It lagged for me when I used it and unfortunately, not enough offered

I have ~7 Roku's of consisting of all versions (1-3) and this was my second stick. While I love the concept of stick, both have stability problems and my newest died within the first two weeks. I understand products died young sometimes, but the quality of the stick compared to the other models doesn't live up to the name. Unless you travel and want it in my hotel, don't go with the stick.

Should have read the manual before purchase. Remote only works during perfect alignment of the moon and stars unless you buy another piece of junk extender. Couldnt get it to work one time, Roku support is your typical non exsisting black hole, can hear them laughing in the background all the way to the bank with my fifty bucks!

I bought two of these, one for myself and one for my son for his 11th birthday. I bought it because the price was good, and we are avid WWE Network fans and I heard good things about the reliability of the Roku and the interface...for my son, this would be excellent because he always complains he can't watch the network on his own TV when someone else in the house is watching something on the Living Room set. I played with the interface, it works, it's easy to set up, and it's intuitive to use, pretty to look at. But the content....where do I start? I have a smart television and a PS3 - both of which have all the same premium content options that the Roku offers. I was looking forward to all the free content and 1000+ channels that everyone hypes - I read reviews and watched videos and thought that it sounded awesome....but in reality, the content is either Youtube videos that people have bundled into a "channel", or ancient public domain content from the dawn of the television era. Most of it isn't even HD and some of the content providers have the nerve to charge a monthly fee for ad-free access to stuff that you can access for free on the internet archive/wayback machine or Youtube! Additionally, I added some of the retro movie channels, and while the movie selections were old and tired, there were some very specific "not-rated" movies that had a lot of "s e x" and "n u d i t y" in them - with no access to be able to keep my kid from being able to access them that I could find. I think, I'm going to return both of these sticks and get my money back. If you don't have a smart tv or a PS3/Xbox then I would say maybe this product is for you, or if you are not internet-savvy and don't wish to look up this ancient content on your own, then sure, give it a go....but it's not for me and it's not for a majority of the people I know....

I love my Roku! Mainly watch hulu and netflix. Tons of other great channels for weather, news, sports, and it's all free. I pay $18 for hulu and netflix and put roku sticks in the bedrooms, good bye Directv and Cable!

We got this for the bedroom. The fact it plugs directly into the HDMI slot appealed to us as there isn't much room on the dresser that the TV is on. We only used it two days in a row, then all the sudden all we get is sound and a blank purple screen. I have tried resetting a few times, no luck. I plan to exchange it for a Roku One as that has worked well for my parents.

I went to Best Buy looking for a universal remote that was easy to use and would control my Sony Bravo TV, DVD, Roku and Direct TV box. I was told that this remote would take care of all of these. To be honest the Harmony cannot really replace all of these remotes and their different functions. I have even talked with Logitech about what I was having trouble with and they said it would not be able to replace all of the remotes. This remote also has a tendency to forget its settings. I am not impressed with this particular universal remote.

Make sure you have adequate speed for streaming live tv. If so you can cut the cord on cable and I saved over $60 the 1st month and I'm getting the channels I actually watch. So nice

Purchased as gifts for Mother's Day. Love mine and thought others would too. Allows you to stream movies from different venues like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and listen to music if you wish. Great asset to have.

As long as you have internet access you can take your subscriptions with you. When I go to my parent's house for a visit they don't have HBO, now I can watch HBO at their house in my down time if I want.

I truly enjoy my Roku. It is very easy to set up..absolutely no hassle whatsoever. If you have an older tv where the connection is in the back, Roku will send you an extension free of charge.

I bought this as a replacement for an old apple tv due to me switching from an iphone to an android. I have been incredibly disappointed with the roku so far. It refuses to connect to any of the apps even after it was been checked many times the its internet connection is strong. It will say it is connected in the settings, but the apps will act like there is no connection. I'd say this thing actually works about 30% of the time. Even then, it takes about 20 minutes of reloading apps to get it to work. Overall, I would suggest going a different route. If you have apple devices, stick with the apple tv. If you want something cheaper, go with the amazon fire tv or chromecast. I will never recommend a roku product after this terrible experience and will be working on getting my money back on what is essentially a useless purple usb stick.

THE ROKU STICK WORKS GREAT, BUT BUYERS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT MY ROKU NEEDS BATTERIES REPLACED EVERY 4 WEEKS. I RETURNED TWO PREVIOUS ONES BECAUSE THE BATTERIES ONLY LASTED 10 DAYS AND IT WAS WITHIN THE 14 DAY RETURN PERIOD, BUT THE THIRD ONE WENT BEYOND THE RETURN PERIOD. I SUGGEST YOU GET A BATTERY CHARGER..

Great product..wish it still had the headphone jack on the remote cause I love working out and looking at tv. But it's still a good product...

Bought it for my kids and they love it. Instead of paying for the additional cable, I thought this would be a great substitution. As it turns out, I was right!

I bought a Roku 3 weeks ago and the streaming audio is not working and unusable. When I called Roku they want me to wait approximately 3 months until a software update can be done as this has been a common problem with this product. Furthermore, ROKU will not refund my purchase nor send me a new device. They want me to go argue with BestBuy for a replacement. ROKU does not stand behind their product DO NOT BUY THIS - HUGE MISTAKE

The Roku stick is great for watching netflex, you tube, redbull. You can connect your phone to the tv through the Roku to do some of these things.

If you have multiple cable boxes, this unit may replace all but one, that is substitute one Roku for each cable box without paying for additional sets.

This is perfect to stream SlingBox from as an additional set top box half the cost of Apple TV with more features.

For my needs exactly as expected. Would recommend to anyone in need of a streaming option that doesn't want to pay big bucks for an Apple TV!
