    Don't waste your money. As others, I find the remote a nightmare. It works for a few minutes and then won't work. I've made repeated phone calls to Roku support....followed all their instructions. Their final recommendation was that I had to change my WIFI to channel 11. This stick is impossible to use.

    This is a waste of money. The remote was a pain to connect. I had to reset the device several times before it would connect properly. Then the built-in wifi burned out. This was all within 2 hours of opening up the box. I took it back and got the Roku 2. I have not had any issues with that whatsoever. Spend a little more and go straight for the Roku 2.

    Bought 2nd Roku, so thought set up would be easy. Wasn't. From beginning, it was clear that the remote was wonky, not working right. Would pair, then slip out of pairing. So I'd redo (following online help by Roku), but again. When I found my new iPhone app was able to work the remote function, then I knew. Had to call customer service. Got accented man clearly reading a script. Told him it was the remote, needed a replacement. He said "uh-huh" and ignored that. Had me spend 30-45 minutes doing everything I'd already done. Uh-huh. Then when he got to asking me to change my router channel, I told him no. It isn't OUR router, it is YOUR remote. We'll take it back to BB. He finally decided to confer and decide, give the lady a replacement remote. I asked for CEO name and address too. He didn't give to me, so I found and wrote Mr. Anthony Wood to explain the problems. Wasted two hours. Would NOT recommend.

    Netflix only work if you are in US or Canada Poor Antenna, need to be close to the wireless access point The keyboard on the remote app do not work (youtube) need to use arrow key and find letter by letter The support only give you “apologize for the inconvenience” Waste of money, buy and apple tv or another player

    I bought this product specifically so I could watch my amazon prime account on my tv. It set up just fine and was easy to navigate, but it won't play anything in HD and stops to load the movie/show every few minutes. Not at all worth it.

    Why do they need a credit card on file?

    We purchased this product but were disappointed that the company requires either a credit card or PayPal access on file in order to activate the device. Why do they need this AFTER we have paid for the product? We were not willing to do this, so it was returned. I emailed the company to see if there was a way to get around this, but they did not respond.

    Roku works at first, always slow to connect. After only 5 months it has stopped working altogether. Would not recommend to anyone.

    Came with a Sharp TV I purchased, set up was easy, but final set up for access required I submit a credit card or my PayPal account login information in the event I purchased something from them. With identity theft rampant, I refuse to have yet someone else have my information. In the event I did want to make a purchase, I would submit pmt. then. Would not have bought the TV had this info been revealed at time of purchase..

    Roku must have a poor QA process because the stick I just bought for my wife was DOA. We tried it in the same HDMI port we used fine with AppleTV and only got a blank screen. We tried it on a different TV, same result. The unit had power, got warm to touch, and the TV input was set right, just no video from the stick. Disappointed and returning today, wasting my time and gas.

    The devil is in the details. Hidden "set up" costs of $69.99 were not mentioned, and there were no written instructions. Also, the device was erratic, and when I called tech support, all I got was a foreigner with a thick accent who could not help me.

    I wouldn't recommend this for any reason other than you don't have a spot for the other devices for space reasons. It does not effectively stream video. I have a roku 2 and apple tv and I do not have these issues. I would leave it on the shelf.
