Alternative to Cable Box

Roku Stick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This works perfectly for my tv in the bedroom which is mounted on the wall, so being able to plug it right into the HDMI and USB ports works great. It seems a little slow, and some of the apps, specifically the WatchESPN app doesn't load the shows....from reading comments online, it sounds like it may be update related. Other than that, it works great, and new apps being added all of the time.

Ideal for upgrading a non smart TV

The set up was easy and now I can stream all the various content available (and its almost overwhelming how much there is). Once you get the hang of the simplistic remote you're good to go. You'll need an additional outlet near for the power supply but the cord is long enough to reach one in practical proximity. I bought mine on sale but it's a good value even at regular price.

Great Streaming Tool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The roku streaming stick is a great addition to our TV but is a little slower than other Roku products. It allows for Netflix, Sling TV, Charter Spectrum, Hulu, HBO, and other streaming services. It's very similar to AppleTV but unlike AppleTV, you cannot connect to your iTunes to see all of your downloaded content. I've heard there is a work around for this, but haen't figured it out yet.

the dumb tv is now a smart tv
