I purchased the Roku a few weeks ago. Setup was simple, but you need to make sure that it has good access to your wireless network. Picture quality is great (of course it depends on your TV), and content loads quickly. The only problem I encountered was overheating. A message appears on your screen if this happens. According to the Roku website, the stick must be located in a well-ventilated place, away from other electronics. They suggest unplugging it for ten minutes if overheating occurs. Roku offers a free HDMI extender so you can locate the stick in the good place. I suggest you order it after you register the device.

Have HD TV and Comcast- but sick of paying for movies. Got Roku to stream movies and tv shows. Easy to install. Still need to get subscriptions to services(e.g. Netflix, Hulu, etc). Reasonably user friendly.

We recently transitioned from the chromecast to the Roku and love it! It’s great having a remote rather than casting off our phones. We love the power and volume buttons on the remote. It eliminates the need to use multiple remotes to turn the TV on/off and the volume up/down. We’ve also discovered a lot of new FREE app, eliminating the need for Netflix, which we were getting bored of. I love that the device is small and easy to travel with.

Bought this going a lot of online research. Saw some bad reviews so I was concerned. I have a new smart tv with 1080 resolution. Was thinking about getting the Roku ultra but glad I did not. It would have been more than I needed. This streaming stick was easy to install and set up. Created an account with Roku. Performance is awesome. Better that the smart features on my tv that was sub par. I highly recommend this product! Not sure why some are having trouble with it....

I am amazed on how good the wifi capacity is on roku, it’s so easy to use it never fails! It is necessary to order the free extension cable from roku, because it will overheat without it. They should really just include it! This is the second one I have and I live the remote, Ive had a fire stick and Chromecast and this is by far the best, you can download a ton of apps that firestick and apple tv dont allow.

I like the smaller size and the fact that it doesn't require an independent power source. Those familiar with the Roku will appreciate the interface which has some minor updates but nothing too unfamiliar.

This was bought to replace a larger unit for my sisters tv. (She doesn’t have a smart tv). It hides behind the tv in the hdmi port and the remote even operates by voice. Great product at a great price.

Like the new functionality to turn the tv on and change the volume in the same remote. Connected easily.

This is my 3rd Roku in my house. This replaces the large cable box I had sitting on the kitchen counter. I was hesitant to get a Roku stick but the performance is amazing. I can still watch cable programs via the Roku spectrum app and can also watch Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, and listen to Pandora all with my old non-smart TV. The Roku remote also can power on/off and adjust the volume on my TV. No more collection on remotes on counter.

bought the old model but remote stopped working; the hand hold of this one is more substantial and natural. Also I like the volume control buttons on the device so that I amusing one device and not 2

Works great. I have this on a 4K televisions and it works great. The setup is easy and even the on screen virtual keyboard is not the worst example I have dealt with too. Lots of free channels if you do not wish to pay for subscriptions. The streaming stick+ also has voice recognition the help you, although I am just as happy using the few buttons available. Easy setup, easy control and a good price.

Set up is 5 min and has all the apps and channels you need from Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, YouTube, Slingtv and many many more. Main reason I purchased is for Sling Tv app. Sony Bluray doesnt have the slingtv and also some models do not have YouTube. So far no issues, great quality (same as Directv cable!) And far less $. The Roku app allows to listen privately thru headphones, doesn't disturb you spouse or baby when they sleep and you want to watch tv

Love the way Roku works. My favorite aspect is that it works well with all the streaming services. It's not pushing it's own brand. Recommended.

So much "free" stuff available after just a simple setup. Already a Netflix and Prime subscriber so there are many additional channels and programs without a subscription. Easy to use and very, very portable. Most hotels have upgraded HDMI connected TV's and internet access so can take on vacations or just to another room and different TV. It does get warm but keep it unplugged when not in use and you will be fine.

I have been wanting a Roku for a while now but couldn't decide which one I wanted. I am so happy I purchased this one!! Very small design but that doesn't stop it's preformance! It can hook into HDMI and USB ports on your TV so there is no cords connecting to the wall, or if your TV doesn't have enough power for it it also comes with a wall connector! I love the design of the remote and the voice control comes in handy. Great purchase!

I wanted an alternative to my expensive cable service and this device did the trick. The Steaming Stick activates quickly, and the voice control works like a charm. The device does get warm (sometimes very warm) after extended use. I receive a warning of over-heating from the Streaming Stick once (it had been active for over 18 hrs.). The Stick cooled down in 10 mins and I resumed streaming. I'm buying another one soon.

I love this Roku stick. It’s hidden behind my TV and works from any angle. Easy set up...just follow simple directions. Great streaming of apps I already have...Netflix, VUDU, Amazon Prime, plus so many, many others that don’t require paid memberships. I have 5 TVs...only one has the cable box but I’m able to stream Spectrum to the other TVs because each one has a Roku device connected. This way I pay for only one cable box!

Young man at store explained the different options I had. I got what he recommended and I couldn't be happier. I can view u-tube on on TV now.

This is a great easy way to stream. It is very easy to set up and use. There is a huge number of apps, so you can choose what type of media you want to stream. You can quit cable and still see a ton of movies and tv series. Usually if it’s on cable today, there is a big chance it available to stream the next day. Available aps are Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, Broadway HD, Disney.

Was simple to set up however had to buy an adapter to insert it into the Samsung 55" we have as limited space to the connector on the TV not a problem of the Stick but after all all went well
