WAY more affordable

They all continually raise your rates. We've experienced outages with all of them as well. With Roku, you pay once and done. You DO have to have internet access. In addition to the free programing, you can select to add additional options for a low monthly fee. We added both versions of Sling, which is only $40/month, and we have all our favorite channels. Local programming is included with Sling. I can't see ever going back to cable or satellite, now that we have Roku!

Gets the job done (mostly)

It is not like fire stick though where you can add apps like terrarium tv .. instead you have to cast apps like that from your android phone to the tv .. unfortunately I do not have that option since I don’t use an android phone .. that’s why the 3 stars .. but the apps it does allow and have preloaded are good quality picture wise .

Great little Streaming device

But I needed to replace my Android ABOX media streamer, because the SPECTRUM app I was using was updated, and the app stopped working. The Roku Streaming Stick has a app for SPECTRUM, which is why I bought it. I am very, very please with this little device. It works extremely well with my old SONY 32" LCD TV.
